By the way, I can't see how an over load either by internal weight or towed load could result in an engine failure. Something else is behind the scene. Just take a pass on this one.

@Nautique99. "blew the motor" is a very ambiguous term, most commonly applied to broken crank or rod, from which there us no recovery

Where do I buy this item? I assume all Dewalt dealers will carry them. Will we have to wait until next April before dealers have stick?

@Ilivetoskicheck with Bob Archambeau. He lives in Mooresville. He should be able give you info on skiing in the area.

Well, how much is in it at any given time, when it's level?
-
Just how much water do you get in there each usage? Unless you have a bit too much seepage around the shaft, there shouldn't be much. Just soak it up with a towel before you get on rail.

Yeah, a maintenance problem if not built correctly. Remember you're paying for dirt removal (unless the excavator is paying you for fill dirt) with islands it's dirt you don't have to move.
Just wait until @eleeskireads this!

Is that where the McClure family skis?

Are we talking all direct drives? Wake barges too?

Can't speak for MC, but you can't pull the new one through with the old on a SN. The rack is attached and it ain't going nowhere, except out the front. Likewise the new one has to go in from the front.Tie a rope on the old one and pull the old one out. Leaves you a rope to pull the new one in. I've done it myself but it helps to have someone on each end.

Hey @kc was I about correct in my previous post, concerning Chelsea's performances at Sawmill?
-
I recall first seeing Chelsea at a Sawmill (IN) tournament about 8-9 years ago. Running mid 32 off, if my memory serves me correctly. Tremendous accomplishment, considering her late start in the sport.

You know, I think that sometimes at those really short lines a skier may be unsure as to whether they were outside, or where the ski was, binding wise at the buoy. Then again, if you know that you're inside and "try to sell it", it's your integrity and if you can live with yourself.

Despite what @lpskier said, I'm saying "age". Just because the guys he mentioned ripped it doesn't mean everyone can sustain performance levels as age creeps up. It's been a gradual loss, corresponding to years for me.

Yeah, Freddy Krueger is the best slalom analyst I've ever heard.

@JackQ is definitely one to listen to. If you're unfamiliar with Jack, look up his scores. As for me, transitioning to 32 exposed one (of many) of my skiing flaws. The inability to get the ski to carry out after the edge change. That's just a basic handle control flaw, and I've never mastered that. Do that and the ski size will become less if an issue. I weigh around 160 and was skiing on a 66". Went to a 67" and it really didn't change much for me (reference above problem). Now, 10 years down the road from slowing to 32, either ski yields about the same results. Age has taken away some performance, but early on in 32 I was able to run 35 with some consistency. Now it's 32 with some consistancy.

We have a winter home in Ft Myers about 5 miles from the beach. From sketchy info (no power or cell service in most areas) our community had flooding in every home. So many trees and utility poles down that travel is near impossible. Most all service vehicles were flooded, so recovery will be slow.

Looks like 02 graphics to me. I had one and that's what I remember.

Just bend and drill some flat stock and get some threaded rod, aka allthread.
Slalom Course Buoy Magnets

Allowing the magnet to float against the bottom of the buoy is kinda hazardous. A knot in your bungee or rope that goes through the magnet will keep it lower aand out of the way.
