  1. Having skied with these guys a fair amount and regularly with Adam Caldwell, the information and access is worth the whole ski price (even if you didn't get a ski). It's a different way of thinking about skiing. It can be as technical as you would ever want it to be or as simple as you like. These guys are fully invested in the science of the product and the science of the sport. Great guys, great products.
  2. Have heard/seen that before but I love Masterline products. If you waited 4 years, 1 month shouldn't be a problem (sorry, couldn't help it). I just get a new rope and handle each year from them and they'd probably last at least 2 years or more. Great products. The high end rope can be used right out of the bag and you'll barely feel any stretch.
  3. Our water gets to 95+ in the middle of the summer, when we ski a lot you either might want tape or liners and I hated wearing liners. I went to a fatter handle to disperse the wear on my hands. I prefer a 1.125" which feels a little big until it gets some wear on it.

I don't have big hands (wear extra small gloves in most brands). I'm with @greghayes, less blistering. My current brand new handle is a 1.09" as my 1 year old 1.125 handle needs restringing. Smaller handles make my hands hurt more.

  4. Reading a couple of these, I'm reminded of an instance in probably my 3rd tournament ever and first at our lake. This guy I knew from skiing with him some in public water was probably a deep 32 off skier, starts at 22, runs his first pass, his second pass, his third pass, his fourth pass and his fifth pass, I thinking "Wow! Kenny just ran 38 off and it looked just like his opener"...they never shortened, he ran 22 off five times before anybody caught on. Don't ask me how that happened.
