  1. I am looking at buying a barely used Raptor Condor(2015?). Can anyone comment on this ski? It looks and feels identical to my previous X7. If it IS an X7 with different graphics, then I'm not interested, but if it is faster, yet still stable like a D3, then I am very interested. Any input would be helpful. Also, the ski is a 67", which is prob too small for me at 205 lbs, and I prefer d3's in a 68".
  2. IIRC, don't the SNOB's of that era have less cockpit area, as the dash area(and maybe even the engine) was moved back in order to make room for the open bow? The only SNOB I would want is a 200. Keep looking. You should be able to get a 97+ locally in MN/WI for around 13-15k.

  4. I just skied 2 sets on the ARC yellow and really liked it. I skied right up to my average first set and could tell there is more to go. Turns like crazy and cross course speed is amazing. I should be able to at least tie my PB (which I haven't touched this year) with a few more sets. Wish I could try a blue one to compare. I'm 205 lbs on a 68" with near stock settings.

  6. I have been on the R now for about a month and I am really liking it. Smoothest and most consistent HO I have ever been on. I'm on a 68", and I am at factory fin settings, and 30.25" to front boot. I started at 30" (as I normally prefer slightly back from factory), but I was getting too much tip rise coming off the ball. I tried factory (30.125") first and now 30.25" and it really rides nice here.
  7. Skiing without bouys is like golfing in the dark.......if you can't see where the ball goes, it's hard to tell if it was a good shot.
  8. Ditto on the Strada. You will not be dissapointed and it will suit your style very well.
  9. I prefer them as they eliminate rollers, and I haaaaaaaate rollers. IMO, worth a little extra work for the benefits. Spinning on the ends will always produce rollers down course without islands!!! Some boats are worse than others with the bow roller, but a concern regardless.
  10. It depends on what is most important to them. The MC has a smaller wake, but the SN tracks better and feels more solid. Spray is an issue on the MC at 28 and shorter into a headwind, or if they plan to use the boat for a joy ride with people in the back seat on a windy day, as they will get wet. The 97+ SN wake is much better at all line lengths especially below 34. I personally like the back of the 97 waaaaay more because to me, the slanted transom on the 94-96 SN is much harder to step across and harder to sit down with your ski on. At 34mph+ only, hands down SN. But below 34, and especially for kids/women at 25-30mph the 94-96 SN wake is a lot bigger than the MC.
  11. We get blown out with a north wind in chanhassen, so i would take you up on a set sometime. Looks like you are about 55 miles from here.
  12. Tandem trailers is a California thing. Most boats outside of California will have a single axle.
