  1. Still on mine. I don't think I will ever outgrow this ski, and I really don't believe all the hype about having to buy the latest and greatest each season. If I'm not progressing, it's me, not the ski. Marketing !
  2. By all the responses, everyone is different. I had a laminectomy L-4 L-5. I herniated my disc while snowboarding. Had pain running down my right leg starting in my cheek, down to the ankle. Tried everything, acupuncture, PT, epidural steroid injection which hurt like hell. Nothing worked. Finally went to a ortho. He suggested the laminectomy. Had it done and within 3 weeks I was back to light duty as a plumber and now after 16 years I have no problems at all. I am doing more activities now then ever. Only thing I would do different is go to a Neurosurgeon.
  3. 50, have had a few surgeries, back, knee, rotator. Ski a 2-3 times a week in course. I decided to do some Triathlons, so I've been running, swimming and biking allot. Have lost nearly 20 lbs. Need to get back in the gym, been working on core mainly at home. Really enjoying the swimming workout with a coach doing drills ect. Everything is feeling good !
  4. Thanks, That is what I described already seeing on the skibigdawg site.

This doesn't really show who was in the BIG Dawg event and the actual finishing order. It shows a winner in the 35 and over, 45 and over, 55 and over, and womans divisions. Usually they show some brackets.

  5. Thanks for the good thought's. These things really test your patience.

Zippy, I'm flying in to Seattle tomarrow am for a Dad and kids visit. I'll try and stop by. Maybe you guy's should come visit Austin. The lake is empty and probably allot warmer then what you are used too. My poor boat needs some hour's put on it.

  6. So 2 years ago I dislocate my knee on my first set of the year, out for a whole year. Last summer, rehabed and ready to go and we have a drought here in Austin, dry lake in my backyard. Got a few sets in at another site, but not nearly enough. I fall funny near the end of the season, and now I am recovering from Rotator cuff surgery. May be ready to go in June or July.

This is getting frustrating, looking out the window at a smooth, full lake.

     Waiting for June !
