I don't think you would notice the difference either. They are out of the same mold. Everything is pretty much the same between the Syndicate and the Carbon Omni except for the core. The Syndicate has a PVC core where the Carbon has a regular core. They both have the same speedskin bottom.

At 260, even if you are shooting for 230, I agree with person who said to got with the 71" Omni. For your size, a 69" would be small. Definitely go with the Omni. But definitely get the 71". You'll thank yourself when you are getting up on it.

I think that absolute best is a company here in Utah called SewLong Custom Covers. They have designed and built covers and biminis and their quality is second to none. I say jump on a Carbon or Syndicate Omni right now and don't look back. It is such a game-changer ski in my opinion. Fast, effortless to ski, easy to get up, turns on a dime, forgiving....just a fantastic ski.

The Syndicate 41 Tail handle is the only handle I use. I've been using it four about five years now and swear by it. Yes, its tackiness remains through the life of the handle.

You can also go to hosports.com and read what HO says about them. But in a nutshell, the skis come out of the same mold. The only difference between the three is the materials used in the skis. The Syndicate Omni has the PVC core and the most Carbon fiber. The Carbon Omni has the carbon fiber like the Syndicate, but it does not have the PVC core. It has a foam core. The regular Omni has no carbon. The carbon and PVC core of the Syndicate Omni makes it the stiffest of the three for those who ski at higher speeds. The regular Omni will be the softest for those who ski at a bit slower speeds. The Carbon Omni is right in the middle.

As one who knows Scot quite well and considers him a friend, I think its time to let this die. He's not on the forum any more but he reads it regularly. Even if he deserves it, I'm sure its quite hurtful to him to read these things. I just read on his Facebook page a response that he posted to all this - his side of the story so-to-speak - if you are interested in hearing what he says about it.

The Omega Max isn't available to the first of the year I am told. So it might be hard to find someone who has skied on both.

I'm really interested in it but the price is way to high for my budget. $2500 is way to cost prohibitive for me.

I would stick with your 65". The Omni skis big as it is. I'm 190 lbs and ski at 32 mph and I ski on a 67 Omni. I can't imagine you on a 67. If you are having a difficult time getting width, I sincerely doubt it is the ski. I would look more at your skiing.
