  1. My boys have been driving slalom and trick since they were 11 .... My oldest is now 18 and has a 3 event driver rating. He pulled me in a tournament yesterday ...... Made me feel quite old!
  2. I talked to Nate afterwards .... he just got a bad start at 43. He ran a great 41, and ran 4.5@41 in the semi's and 1/2@43 in the prelim. There were some phenomenal performances ..... Whitney and Regina were great the entire weekend (Regina tied the record) and on Open Men 0@41 was the cut line for the final 8. Freddie Winter, Nick, Will, CP, Jason, Carlos and Nate all were tough. Scott Larson was great also in MM.
  3. Thanks .... trust me, I was scrambling as well to help get it back up! Greg and Debbie ran a fantastic tournament. Everyone from the skiers, to the spectators to the volunteers and vendors all were treated great. Great conditions, great format, great people and great site ....
  4. All, apologize for the webcast issue at the end. We spent alot of time planning it all out and it went great until we had an internet service provider issue that occurred right towards the end. We scrambled and got it back up as quick as we could. The webcast team and the announcers (Tadd, Freddie, Brian, Makayla and all the rest) did a fantastic job. It will be even better next year......
  5. Thanks for the great pictures Dirt ..... Today was an excellent day here at Bell Acqua. Great weather, great skiing and lots of great people. Looking forward to an excellent weekend, we should have some really good conditions to put up some big scores .....
  6. I have a pair of O'brien pro tracs that are not used and in great condition. My kids learned on them and then graduated to their own trick ski. I can send them to you. Send me a message or give me your number and I can call you and I will send you some pictures
  7. I use Goode Powershells and just fixed a few buckles that were bad and have a pretty safe, inexpensive option. Mr Jones is right, find some boots that are bad and try and rob a few pieces that can replace the bottom 2 buckles (if the teeth are bad on the plastic strap those are actually very easy to replace and then can be connected back to the buckle with $0.50 long bolts and nylock nuts. You can call Goode and they will send you the top ankle cuff with the new buckle that will mount right on the old Powershell 4 boots for $20 apiece. By doing this you will have the new style buckle on the top and the bottom 2 buckles you can easily rebuild. You really cant replace the bottom 2 buckles on the Powershell 4 with Powershell 5 buckles without alot of drilling. Email me and I can send you some pictures of what I did.
  8. I picked up a 67" Quest from Paul yesterday. I skied the first set on my existing 2011 X7 and the second set on the Quest. After the first pass on the Quest, my son told me it looked smoother with more angle than he had ever seen me. I noticed that the ski immediately was stable, got great angle on both sides with little effort, accelerated all the way thru the wakes with little effort and had me in better position coming into each buoy. I had standard fin settings and I ride double hardshells and had the front 29.5" from the tail of the ski. It felt extremely comfortable and I noticed I was lesss tired at the end of the set than I was on my first set using my old ski. It felt like I had to work significantly less harder to ski on the Quest. I think there are going to be some great comments coming in on the Quest as more people try it!
  9. All of these are good practices that are excellent. I have been involved in multiple lakes as a group that leased a lake, as an owner and as a head of an HOA. The biggest common item in each situation that came in extremely valuable at some point was the clear definition in the agreement, by-laws or CC&R's that the lake is purposed for 3 event waterskiing. Only AWSA approved waterski boats without wake enhancement devices are allowed.
  10. @dirt, thanks. Was planning to do that today. We could have used your eye in the sky sat night at the Natomas sports authority!
  11. This weekend myself and my 3 boys skied in a slalom tournament in the Sacramento area. 2 rounds Sat and 2 rounds Sun. Sat everyone skied great and had a great day. Sat night we ran an errand with the boys and was in Sports Authority for 15 mins and we came out and my car had been broken into. Took my in dash Nav/Stereo and my 16 year olds D3 slalom ski / Reflex hardshell / gloves / handle and one of my 13 yr olds D3 slalom ski / gloves / bindings / handle (they left mine and my other 13 yr olds ski's there). We filed a report, called Will Bush and Paul Crawford Sat night about 9pm to see what replacement equipment we could throw together. Paul brought us everything the boys needed first thing Sun am. Paul, Jimmy B and I setup the skis on the dock at 7:30am and the tourn started at 8am. My 13 yr old went out on a completely new setup (including gloves and handle) and ran 2@28' off (34 mph) which is 1 buoy off a tourn PB. My 16 yr old then skied on his brand new setup and ran 4.5@28' off (36 mph) which is one of his top 3 tournament scores. My wife and I were really impressed with how Will / Paul / The Trimbles and the whole crew at Redwood Shores helped turn what could have been a bummer day into a really great day. Lots of smiles from the boys! These are the things that really show what a great group of people we have involved in skiing. I really appreciate people who go out of their way to help the kids in our sport. Thanks!
  12. Sam should have them up pretty quickly. They did a lot of business and left about an hour ago. If they dont have them up by Monday, I will call him.
  13. The vendor is LMP Sports. They should be posted on their website already. If not, let me know and I can get you in touch with them
