I owned a GTR22 for 5 years. To date it was the best ski boat I've owned. Doesn't have the interior fit and finish of the big 3... But it's a serious ski boat. Tracks/drives great, and has a nice flat ski wake. My only issue was the low bow which makes it easier to take on water up front.... i ended up getting a custom snap tarp for the front which eliminated that problem.... Only removed it when out with the family.

Radar locks were the best I ever used... The 3 finger design made it easy to do the "west side" sign... Bring back the Lock Radar!!! Using tail 41s til the lock comes back!

Stock settings Dft - 0.73 Length - 6.845 Depth - 2.510 Wing - 8 Some prefer to move the dft up to 0.76... I have mine at 0.745

im in Canada, we could still ski for a few more weeks, but the club recently closed as the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cold - water in the 50's and the air temp is getting below freezing at night.

too bad... our club shut down already. I suck, but this would still be fun to be part of.

When I first got my rs1s I cranked the laces. A while later had a bad fall and they didn't release. Sure enough I read on this forum that the laces sb just snug. I tried it and the bindings perform fantastic. I did crash and my feet released as needed. I am now going to run these til they fall apart. When I am standing on the swim platform I have the laces lose enough that I can lift my front and rear heals about 50% to 65% out. Super comfy and no issues with control and feel for the ski..... I see no need to crank these tight.

That looks like a Jobe Honeycomb.... sweet ski.... I suggest maybe getting a new boat like a Nautique - however be sure to use the same rope attachment that you have on the current boat... with that aparatus you have no need for a ski pylon.

i'm not a jumper - is he doing double wake cuts??? woldnt it be more difficult for him to jump considering he is missing his right leg?? I imagine cutting on the inside foot/leg would be nuts.... how does he do it??

I went to the RS1 bindings this year... I love them. I'm a size 8 and I had to size up to a 9 in the RS1's. I use superfeet and they work great. I'm also skiing on an A1 and I love it. I havnt had a chance to ski the RS1 but I've heard great things about that ski as well. Either way you cant go wrong. I set a pb on the A1 within 2 sets of skiing on it.... not sure if thats cause it works that well, or if my old ski sucked that much.

I couldnt be happier with mine... I have superfeet in as well... great binding system. My only complaint is that the black plastic thingys at the end of my laces are busting off. As for sizing - I wear a size 8 shoe.... went with a 9 in the RS1 as my toes were crunched in the 8's....

I'm no expert on fin settings - what adjustments should I make to the fin to add tip on the offside?? add depth to the fin?? should I use the wing at 8degrees with these adjustments? or should I go without the wing??

I have the fin and bindings as stock as per the numbers you listed - the only diff is that the first couple sets I didnt use the wing, the last set I used the wing at 5degrees - I'm not skiing beyond 22off and therefore felt that using the wing wasnt required. When I used the wing it skied worse and I still experienced chatter on my offside turn.

I just started skiing on my A1... 3 sets under my belt... The good news is I set a new PB - i'm not a shortline skier... just started skiing the coarse last summer. I am left foot forward, ski is 66.25". As good as this ski is performing - the ski is wanting to skip out on my offside turn - fin and boot settings are per factory spec - except since I am only skiing 15 and 22off I did not use a wing the first couple sets, after the second set I put the wing on at 5degrees.. the ski was still wanting to skip out. Any suggestions on what I should do with the fin or boot placement??

I'm looking at getting a new ski... I'm a 34mph skier, 5'6", and 165lbs... based on my weight and ski speed I think I can opt for either a 66" or 67" (deciding on either D3 RCX, Radar RS1, or the A1) - what length is better for my weight and speed? what are the advantages/disadvantages of going shorter or longer???
