  1. Tilt the ski to the left a little if you are LFF and Vice versa. Rope should still be touching the side of the ski when getting out of the water. When you get used to the hard shell you would not need to do that, that much anyway.

  2. @wettek69 honestly couldn’t though of that… maybe you have to go the diy route, cut the horseshoe in two pieces to widen it, find a source for a rubber sheet and use the standard one as template but make it wider, or split the standard rubber and reconnect it with maybe a leather piece to make it wider. I guess the standard heel squeeze piece can be used as is. Modifying it can really hard.

  3. If you are talking combo skis.. bindings come in two pieces each. All you have to do is to spread them apart. By how much, I’m not sure, use foot as template. Somewhere between the original screw holes, there is definitely enough space to drill some new and use the old ones for guide and measurement purpose.

  4. @Deanoski I liked what you wrote and yes reflex need forward pressure to eliminate play and risk of prerelease and also testing outside is important and the concerns about the ss springs. But in the HO system the shell stays put because of the base that it sits in and can stay in place with less forward pressure and still work fine. It is just a little more difficult to adjust it when it develops more play than it should.

Last summer, on the way to SanGervasio. Ski tip was damaged, I took pictures at the airport and left so I would not miss my ski set.
Send a Mail to the airline explaining everything, with photos, an invoice for the tube and a link to the manufacturer’s site of the ski and its cost. I’ve got a reimbursement that covered the ski and tube.

    repaired both…

Skied that week and bought new ski after that. Sportube… I’m still using the same one.

  7. @whitem71mine doesn’t work either and I don’t upgrade if not needed.
the message is that it has been removed from the AppStore.
for me that I set up skis for a lot of people’s skis  and older models, was very useful.
i hope it will come back.

Any advice on how to make it work again, if it’s on my end is vey welcome.

  8. This is sad news, but could also be an opportunity for someone else.

there is always money to be made in niche markets. Maybe a smaller size lower cost company can take over and build a ski boat, or Malibu can licensing the hull to somebody else.

Anyway, if Malibu stops producing ski boats… let’s hope not…. And there is money to be made… hopefully somebody else will step in.

  9. There is at least one guy, maybe more, that is an alpine skier and surfer I think, that have skied waves in style. Skis were combos, but he had snow ski boots and ski poles.

  10. @boscoman it’s not the thickness, it’s the model, change to a top of the line O’Neill like Psycho Tech 3/2 or similar and you won’t need any layers underneath. For upper 50s and higher, this is all you need. Zero leaks for the first 3-4 years or more, stretchier than the Epic and warmer. You can go for a 4/3, but for upper 60s there is definitely no need.

Both my Psychofreak and psychotech are leaking now, but still comfortable at upper 60s. Need to buy new, have used them for way too many years now and don’t think there is any life in them anymore.
I could do 50 when they were new.

If you have any interest in coming down, day trip or other and skiing Okeeheelee for a day, let me know as you can ski our boat or potentially I can arrange a pull for you. We've got a 2019 200 with a 6.0L.

The water has been around 70 right now and should be 70-74 by then. Most folks are just wearing tank tops under vests.

We have an apartment you can stay in if you were overnighting, that one I have to check and make sure msscoke doesn't have someone else scheduled in it.

Let me know. or Next trip!

@scoke thank you very much for the offer, I really appreciate it! I will be with a friend. We are planning to go south for a day or two and visit Okeeheelee too, to at least see the place.
I will contact you if we do, to meet and show us the place and if possible have a set.

    thanks again… I miss the awesome button…
