  1. academy sports has precut .good as any.if you take bunks off the bolts might snap there self drill.I drilled and taped so a quarter 20 bolt could be used .you need to get a 2x6 spit it .then turn it on edge tilt blade in saw from top corner leave about 1 inch thick on other edge.the bunks are 4 pieces 2 long and 2 shorts up frt ..
  2. Academy sports has some precut that's about as good as any , sure northern does to.if u buy at home depot or something and you want the nice black u just have to get it on 12 ft roll so you will have some extra
  3. I rode my first vapor about 5 passes 1 22 and 3 at 28. 68 new rossi numbers .little to snappy on on side but it was managable. and no finish or angle off 1( off side )I get to 3 and can't get it to finish with angle. We thought maybe need move bindings forward .at first it seemed like it was on top and seeking at pullout and in the coast for gate.

  4. I've had a bad tach. .I could tap on it and make it cut out.and stall is how I found it ,just a thought probably not it.I've also had a main wire harness go bad had a bare spot in it after hours of searching with a meter .after checking harness it was broke under the floor about at drivers seat how, u tell me.it gave me trouble then finally broke in half far fetch but if you run out of ideas
  5. If you have play in the pulley shaft threw the pump and mech seal the impeller will suck or lose pressure there's 2 small bearings the shaft go threw the housing they wear causing the shaft to wiggle while it's idling you might see it ,it looks like your pulleys bent.
  6. Go to northern tool or what ever u have .trailers have common bearings you can get them cheap they even have a hub and bearing kit that if you tow a lot and have a problem u can change it on the side of the road I kept 1 in my truck just in case but I do tow a lot
  7. I've had 9 separations the last being 20 yrs ago no surgery and still sking at 57 don't rush it I remember 1 time arm strapped down for 6 weeks the doc said go back to work so I said if I can work I can ski did it again before I went back work out 6 more weeks the last dislocation I stuck hand in water at 2 ball they had to knock me out to put it back .mine was a lot like ski Jays but no brakes. Wow I hate that feeling give me beer

  8. Me and my ski bud have both broke legs ,mine under the knee both upper and lower leg bones came together and then hyper extended. I was 54 back in the course in 9 months .my buddy broke left below the knee in a spiral and snapped above ankle 2 brakes.he has plate and screws he's 56 and back running 35 ,1 yr later so hang in there .o yea I broke a wrist after that flipping my samurai and back in the course 4mths. O yea did I met in 8 dislocated shoulders tricking and slalom stuck my arm in around 2 ball weak arm from dirt bike crash.im still in radars but he went to ob4

  9. I had it back in 93 It was a real new oper. But man I was a new man was back skiing but weak in 6 mths. Still sking 5 days week at 57 .kèep in mind everyone diff. But I was like u shoot me at 2 in the morning .best thing I ever did. Some people respond different and just give up and whine.
  10. ive seen good impellers but no cooling from it ,the bearings can go in the pump leting the shaft move enough that it twists the impeller so water gets buy it at the top and bottom of housing letting it loose pressure.also check for old chunk of rubber in your lines right past the pump old piece could have moved ,well a shot in the dark

    my 2 cents

  11. i hear ya we do the same .been on them all, we ski hard on them and never had 1 break  must of been 5 of us .

and thats my point if 1 does break (and 1 should'nt break sking on it ... )it had to be a defect in the ski from the start .and it should'nt matter who owns it the ski was the problem .if u have been hammern a 9800 for 4 yrs then get on a wr 75 passes later its cracked  then u get back on ur old 1 its hard to swallow someone telling you ,u broke it.

and they do ski good theres no disputing it i like  my googe 9800 im still on it  but ill have a hard time buying another

    scotchipman

i do plan on calling ,i have to try but being the second owner im probaly screwed

  12. i emailed them but they have not answered but after all ive heard i didnt really expect them to ,i dont think goode really gives a crap about follow up service i did buy it used so they have there ass covered but still if the ski is defected who cares whos riden it,so me and at least 5 of my ski buds will never do biz with goode  .we buy gloves and all every year but now i even need a new glove .i think will try those 41 tails

i hate it cause i used to stand up for them some but 800 bucks in 1 month is a hell of a lesson that i dont plan on repeating and hope none of you have to find out the hard way .

  13. mine broke ,ive heard the horror storys about braking goodes but ive never had a problem.been on 9800 4 yrs.got a wr and pow right under the frt boot.now im back on 9800 and lookin for a new ski. but have now lost all confidence in goode plus i cant afford to get a new 1,and i feel this ski had a defect from the get go.i like burned a 800 d bill with a match .ouch
