Is this a real estate project, or pay to play concept. What is the site elevation?
- Amounts charged
- Single
- Family
- Per pull
All of the above
Keep the dock above the water high enough so that the normal boat wave action doe not come in contact with the understructure.
We're at 4,500 feet.

It's pay to play. In the future I may develop it but right now its just a ski lake.

Hey Ballers.
I finally pulled the trigger and started digging my ski lake. Hoping to have it filled and ready to go by mid May. I have some questions about mitigating risk, structuring memberships and rates, boat usage, insurance, dock design etc.
- Is an LLC the best way to mitigate risk in the event that someone gets hurt and the insurance isn't enough?
- What other ways do you mitigate risk?
-
How have you structured your memberships?
- Amounts charged
- Single
- Family
- Per pull
-
Boat time?
- Do you use an hourly rate?
- Does it include fuel?
- What about damage?
-
Insurance
- Who do you use?
- What are the coverage amounts?
- What premiums are you paying?
-
Any dos or don'ts with regard to dock design?
- Planning on having an enclosed boat house with a lift and then a covered deck.
Thanks in advance!

Meh! I'll stick to the tried and tru oversize Beach towel. far more uses besides covering up to change my shorts..save my money for real ski gear..
I bet you said the same thing about Perfect Pass and ZO. Probably don't like power windows in cars either.

Do you notice the ski wanting to turn in hard on the gates with the boots at 29 3/8? I had mine set there and it would roll over hard and take too much angle. Moved back to 29 and it skied great.

Interested to know the why behind this. Restoration?

In the past week I've seen a lot of boats for sale by owner on groups that I follow on Facebook. Those boats listed have the priced for quick sale language or reduced price. The tide is turning in the boating world. Keep in mind most of these boats I'm seeing are wake barges. I was in a boat dealer's shop yesterday and it was full of surf boats. It's almost July and they have a bunch of inventory. I'm guessing that the interest rate hike is really taking a bite out of demand. Hard to justify an 8% or higher interest rate on a 300k boat that depreciates.

Hi everyone, what would be the best propeller for a Nautique 200 with 6.0 liter engine at 6800 feet above sea level to ski at 36 mph? Has anyone done any other tests? Thanks for your support.
I've skied my 2012 200 6.0 at that elevation. I had a high altitude prop on it. That being said, if it's a short set up their isn't much you can do for the boat to squeeze more hole shot to get up to 36. Give acme a call and they'll build a custom prop depending on your max rpms and what you're trying to get out of the boat.

@Horton you've commented that one of the keys to skiing in a stacked position is to keep your back leg straight. I've been really focusing on this but have notice that when I think my back leg is straight it really isn't. Is your back leg suppose to be straight or is this just a mental que to get you to move your com over your front foot and you will always have some bend? I think I know the answer but just wanted some clarification

Is it in good cosmetic shape? Bimini?
Good shape with a trailer and I would guess $50k.
It has Bimini, travel cover, it’s in very good shape.

I'm looking at selling my 2012 200 Open Bow Team Edition with the 6.0L 409. The boat has about 400 hours. What would be a realistic value? I've seen 2015-16's listing for 50-60k. On a side note, I don't think I've ever seen a 2012 for sale. Seems high but boat prices don't seem to follow logic. Thanks in advance.

I can't imagine how terrible the hole shot is.
-
Alex, I'll take things I don't want to do for a $1,000.
-
Awesome video! Damn, those things are not cheap.

MC knows exactly who they are marketing to. NO ONE outside of tournament/course skiers are likely to drop 120K + for a brand new Prostar. We are the target market and that ad spoke to me and all that I look for in a boat.
The Surf boats are marketed to the entire family. It is truly a family boat and when you're 200K or more you have to be able to sell it to the wives as a way to keep the family together.
Skiing is a dying sport and one that doesn't encourage a boat full of people. I don't see how that ever changes. Less smooth water, less access to courses, to hard, not a social event, etc.

Had surgery in September of last year with a 95% tear. I've been on the water since June. Would have been earlier but weather wouldn't cooperate. I'm sure you've talked with your doctor. If he says your good then go for it. The forces on the shoulder skiing are a little different than the force that tore you tendon. That being said I can see situations while skiing that would put your shoulder in a compromised position. I think I was told it's a year before fully healed but I think after about six months you're 80% and then the remainder 20% heal is over the remaining year. Take it easy, if it hurts then stop. Good luck.

I know there have been threads on here in the past about ski lake design. So rather than repeat already answered questions does anyone have a link to threads that discuss these topics. I haven't had much luck when I use the search feature. Probably user error.

Helena, MT has two lakes(No Wake Lake). If you're in SE Idaho we have access to a few sites.
-
@Horton that's a Malibu M240 on the shoulder. It's a 300k boat. How the hell do you get a 7500# boat onto the side of the road? My hell, people are idiots.

Omg, this is the worst, most depressing post of the year. The OP should get a panda just for asking the question.
New Prostar?
