  1. See attached...here's what we are seeing/half loaded Forum page...
  2. @Horton, same results as Ed ref the Forum page not loading. I use AOL 9.7, Windows 7, worked fine until a week ago, nothing changed on my computer as far as I know. The Forum loads fine through IE, but it's not my primary browser...
  3. Unfortunately, just added my self to the rib injury group this weekend; not something to strive for! LFF, -35, off 3 ball, some slack, lean locked into the wake, cracked rib, O’Neill Revenge outlaw type vest. I read a few of the “rib” threads, but really wanted to know if anyone has found a product/something to wear that will absorb the initial impact when you are laid out with your ribs so vulnerable? I have heard pros/cons of thicker or thinner vests…flexible/not enough protection vs thicker/too stiff so something has to give. Any thoughts or experience? Seems there would be an impact gel type product that could be worn or inserted into the side panels of your vest that would absorb the initial shock? Definitely, do not want to repeat this injury! Signed, frustrated Mac for the next 4-6 weeks of healing/no skiing(:
  4. @Horton, can you shoot some pics of the hull? Be interesting to see the changes that created this great wake...tks, mac
  5. @skibug, probably the rear seal; attached is a step by step I created when I replaced the one on my 2005 PS197 350 MCX; I would imagine yours is similar; it took about 45mins. As long as an ample supply of water is circulating through your pump/engine (check temp gauge often), you may be OK for running it a bit longer, but I am not an expert.
  6. Just wanted to pass along some super kudos @ski4xtc for her outstanding customer service! Laurie mailed me a "bungee" kit and it worked great; used the beanie while driving and skiing today...the L/XL kept my head and ears warm and dry! tks again Laurie! mac
  7. @ski4xtc, appreciate your proactiveness on the kit, sounds like the right fix! In the interim, I'll purchase a S/M if you have any left...tks, mac
  8. Beanie feedback: Tried it skiing today; it's a L/XL and I have a 7 1/4" hat/head size. It is warm, but not snug enough at skiing speeds, so I would order the S/M ref my hat size. I may try what @cacman suggested above to cinch it down...overall, great quality; looking fwd to its winter wear!
  9. I'll take whatever color you have left in L/XL...tks, mac
  10. An aerial view of the Lake Eola...
  11. It appears a majority of the M5 scores are 6 or more buoys below the skier's average? Any insight on the weather or site conditions?
  12. @mark, it's such a great feeling breaking a tourny PB, way to go!
  13. @roger, good on ya! Check six, I'm less than a point behind you! I'm sure your wife is now on board with the new ZO boat! later, mac
  14. I was also at the tournament...here's some video of KC's first round; unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to film the pending record second rd! The video starts at -35...
  15. @taelan...OTFs are obviously a recipe for some serious injuries...if you are falling 6 out of 8 passes, I would recommend posting a video on this site and get some feedback that may help reduce these falls. I believe Schnitz wrote an article a few years back called "Falling is not OK"...a good reminder to check your equipment, ski with proper form/technique and the bottom line, it's not worth hurting yourself for one more buoy. @horton, may be you can add a link to that article if it's OK...mac
  16. @horton, should have guessed; if my input is inappropriate, please delete it...tks, mac

  18. @ one ski, glad to hear the JVC met your expectations! Are you out of the frame on both sides of the course? I assume you were zoomed all the way out? I only had that issue on the 1,3, 5 side. To fix, I moved the back end of the camera to the right on the Trakker mount and that solved it. Will be interested to hear how your Trakker arm mod works out... @ wish & ed, can you post a pic on how you are attaching the shock tube to the arm instead of the rope...I can't visulize it...may need more caffeine this morning! tks, mac
  19. @phhil2360, I tried rubber padding btwn the pylon and bracket and under the camera mount, but it did not resolve the shaky video results with the Sony and Cannon models I mentioned above...
  20. Check out this link/thread...http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/comment/51140 I tried three different HD video cameras last summer... 1. Sony HDRCX160, Optical Steady Shot Image Stabilization, 16GB internal flash and a SDXC card slot: Wavy video results; also had to use manual vs auto focus to keep the skier in focus 2. Canon VIXIA HF M301, Dynamic SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization, no internal memory, has a SDXC card slot: Shaky video results; auto focus kept the skier in focus 3. JVC GZHM650BUS, Advanced Image Stabilizer, 8GB internal flash and a SDXC card slot: Video is perfect; auto focus also worked great Here's a video using the JVC model on the P4 Trakker...hope this helps, mac
  21. @rico and usaski...the SG part of Z-box is the same as the previous SG as far as functionality...you can still run CR/CS, CAL, and tweak the background settings to get pretty close to perfect segment times which I have done on my system. Yes, there are Z-box settings where you can adjust the feel of the pull, but these settings will not help the boat "settle down" as usaski was experiencing. @usaski1...if your boat is DBW, then run your auto CR/CS and CAL for your baselines: CR/CS: MENU & UP key, highlight CTRL Settings & press UP, highlight AUTO CR/CS Set, press UP key, accelerate the boat over 3500 rpms, the system will engage and settle back to ~3000 rpms and a message will show the CR/CS has been corrected. CAL: Highlight >, press UP, Highlight SLALOM, press DOWN, ,Highlight CAL BASELINE, press UP, Highlight >, press DOWN, run through the course without a skier Background settings to tweak your segment times: ON/OFF & UP keys together, select a skier weight you want to adjust This should get you close if I didn't mess up the directions:); if these "auto" settings do not help, call PP when you are on the lake; they will walk you through some other ideas...mac
  22. @usaski1...I assume your 2008 Moomba is DBW? Was this an upgrade from a previous PP/SG version or brand new? Did you accomplish an auto CR/CS and CAL for your baselines or just manually transfer your old data? How were your segment time tolerances? My 2005 MC 197 TT, 5.7L MCX, 1.26:1, with the Z-box, overshoots the baseline when pulling up a skier by 400-500 rpms depending on what skier weight setting (F, L, N, X) is selected. It's annoying since the previous SG 7.062 vers was "perfect." Been working with PP for a few weeks, but no fix on that one yet. However, after tweaking the background settings, my buoys/segment times are .02 or less, so that part works as advertised...mac
  23. ZO Box is now available! I received the following email this morning...mac Limited Quantity of Z Box Upgrade Released We are pleased to announce that after final validation in Mexico and Florida, we are releasing the first order of the Z Box and version 8.0 software effective immediately. The Z Box Upgrade Kit ($439 + $24 Fed Ex Shipping) includes a Software Download Stick and a small box that connects to the StarGazer Master Module. The Upgrade will take about 5 minutes to install and is extremely simple. (You must have a Star Gazer System). Much like the 9 settings in the ZO system, this Upgrade will allow you to set a pull letter from A1-C3. Skiers that have experienced the Upgrade agree that the pull feel is very much like that offered from ZO. In addition, the new software features “No Magnet Timing” which allows you to run on any course without using your Smart Timer Magnet Sensor. We do not expect this to be a high volume product and therefore PerfectPass has just 50 upgrade kits available at this time. These are only available direct from PerfectPass. To order or for more information call us at (902) 468-2150. Important Note: Some early StarGazer Modules from 2008 are NOT compatible with the Z Box. If you believe you purchased your upgrade in 2008 you may want to make a note of the serial # prior to contacting us. Mechanical Master Module – Any Serial # less than SGM 1000 is affected. DBW Master Module – Any Serial # less than SG1100 is affected. FAQ Q. I have a DigitalPro System (Not Star Gazer), can I upgrade? A. Yes, but in addition to the Z Box you will require a Star Gazer Upgrade Kit. The package price for both items is $ 849. (This assumes you have a multi-line Display). If you require a new Display as well, the total packaged cost is $1029. Q. Does it ski and feel exactly like the ZO system? A. The upgrade is designed to simulate the pull and feel of ZO and most agree it does an excellent job. However, depending on your boat, engine, prop, elevation, skier style, etc. it may not feel exactly like ZO in your boat compared to ZO in a new 2011 boat. Q. If I set up my new Upgrade with the No Magnet Timing method, is it ok that there are magnets in the course where I ski? A. Yes, you will unplug your Smart Timer Magnet Sensor prior to “Mapping” your course and using your system. Q. How many courses can be “mapped” in the system? A. You can enter up to 3 courses.
