  1. Just wondering if anyone has some guidance about how they have a boat sharing agreement setup? Maybe my friend will buy an off water lot here and we will share a boat that will be kept in my dock. Just wondering what common issues come up and if anyone has an agreement that they already drew up that they could share.

I ski more then him since I sometimes 3 event and my wife currently skis more then his. He keeps his stuff better then mine, but I can adapt/follow rules that we have for cleaning etc.

    Thanks for any ideas.

  2. @sunvalleylaw There really isnt lots of things... We have taught a few beginners here and all we talk about is get tall and wide on your gate, turn in slow and with the line and get lined up behind the boat. What you do at the ball is almost irrelevant at -15 but the ski will take the right path if you get lined up behind the boat and then let it swing out with the speed you just made. Don't worry about anything else but those three things till about -28...
  3. I feel like they ski the most similar of all the different boats right now, and although they vary a little from boat to boat the best skiing boat in the Austin area right now is a Centurion.
  4. We changed to single puck on our 2012 Carbon Pro 5.7. We run a 3 blade jump prop which gives a super consistent slalom pull at 36 MPH. After the change the boat is MUCH quieter and surges less. However both of our main skiiers feel that the boat is hard to get free of now and I had to go down a letter from C1 to B1. However it is also VERY hot here, water over 90 so it is hard to say if that is all the boat. skiing into -35 and -38@ 36...

Also my experience with ZO customer service was once again horrible. They sent me the wrong password, then the wrong file. If I hadn't had industry contacts to get an engineering manager to call me I don't know if I could have got the install completed.

  5. @6balls the vapor give a ton of support while releasing with the newest version. Some people even feel too much. The bottom has the BOA tightening system which you can get painfully tight and the top has the side stiffening inserts which give a lot of lateral support. I came off FM and had only a few sets changing.

My ski group and pro coach all run these and we ski into 35 and 38@36 and 38@34. If you tried on the older ones especially if they were worn in more then a year there will be a big difference in support.

  6. our group and the pro we ski with (and @Horton ) all recommend the same thing, Radar Vapor bindings. If you have to ask what to use that is the answer for you.

A few of us tried OB4 and went back to what we were using.

  7. @Horton as far as I know when I asked for a promo boat I was told that all they will do is 10% over invoice, no requirements to bring it to a tournament etc. I know of at least one person who claims to have a "promo" master craft as he has been in the system a long time, but I don't know him or the whole story. It would be interesting if you cleared the air here about them as well? Two new MC's on my lake now but they were both the ski fly boats (with the engines changed).

In summary (I think) no one has a MC promo boat at SMRR (two ambassador boats though) and I couldn't get one when I asked and had cash, but maybe thats just me not being known enough.

  8. When Jeff's boat arrived there was an extension site that we had to plug in behind the dash to the connector you found and then run down through the seat and out a hole they had made in the front of the seat for it.

I suspect that since you don't have a new boat that this extension has gone missing. I bet you could just elongate the harness from either end since you know enough to own a multimeter
