  1. Very sad.  Hey @rawly I dislike the news, too, but I think the dislike you tagged it with ties to @DW that you are disliking his post not the situation--which is a dislike on his BOS record, so to speak.

  2. All 4 of our frequently used public water courses when I lived in Litchfield would be violations for our quiet Nautiques and baby wakes with a 200 foot rule.  Our wakes are smaller than what a public lake sees coming ashore on a windy day.

Surf wakes...well.  It disturbs everyone but the people doing it and at a great distance.  It's shoreline, it's boats on boat lifts not that far up out of the water, it's docks with water crashing over them, it's people just trying to fish holding on to make sure they don't fall off the flat bass-boat they are fishing from.

Any boat running by makes the same or larger wake than a slalom boat---but if not towing they don't have to be 200 ft?  Hell a surf boat not towing under these rules could be closer than 200 feet throwing a big wake at a slow speed and not be violating anything.

Not well thought out, hard to enforce, unfortunate

  3. Loaded up can't add 7K in a 20 year plus used environment in my opinion--but it's just that.  If you sell for your price that is great---but you asked the question and are getting opinions--none of which said the price is reflective so far on your boat.  Maybe there is a happy medium, maybe you will sell for your price--time will tell.  Really nice boat.

  4. They take the tennis nets down in the fall and my daughter was a state level competitor.  On a nice fall day we took a rope, put it over the posts and ran it across with dumb bells tied to the ends to keep tension.  Basically a tennis "tape" without the net but we managed.   She now coaches tennis at 2 clubs in L.A. and private lessons too.

  5. Get permitted, buy a course, drop it in.  Keep lots of lines/zip strips/extra buoys in your boat for repairs when you get there to ski and find buoys missing.  Scissors, wire cutter, dive goggles in boat.  Heavy anchors.  Tighten initially with something other than an inboard ie) outboard jon-boat or pontoon in reverse--gives steady pressure w/out course damage.

  6. "Hot" isn't the right term, but appreciate the added info re: how they run 39 but many have a lot else going on which is great and a testament to them.  Props to Kristi O-J--showed 'em it could be done and blazed the trail for the others to follow.   Regina on another level.  Congrats to all on the list--amazing women.
