  1. Thanks for the advice guys. Justin_c - i love the double boot set up , feels like i have alot more control. It felt really strange at first and took me a while to get used to it. One problem i had with my deep water starts was my bordies filling up with water, i solved this by scrunching up the leg of my bordies to the top of my thigh.
  2. Anyone esle run their double bindings so tight that they wont come out. I have rs1's and at the end of last season clinched the back boot up really tight. My theory was that if my back foot wont come out, my front knee/ankle wont get trashed in a bad fall. Anyone think this is a bad idea?
  3. My rs1 boots did the same thing. The liners come up about 3/8" as well. My front leg got really sore when i first started useing them, but after about 6 sessions the next time i went for a ski i did`nt get any pain. Either my leg got used to the pain or my body position changed to suit the boot.
  4. I was getting pain in my rear knee. I turned my rs1 back boot more toe out than straight and it stopped.
  5. I had the same problem. My mum gave them a quick fix up with needle and cotton thread. She said she would have used dental floss if she had some as it is stronger and would last longer. If you get the strong minty flavour they might smell nice too.
  6. Yeh, the stitching on my liners is starting to fray. My mums pretty good with a needle and thread, she gave them a quick fix up the other day. She said next time she will stitch them with dental floss as it will last alot longer, sounds weird but i am not going to argue with mum. No more ripping my liners out with my feet.
  7. Just installed PP 3 event on my 1994 prostar 190. First time today trying to calibrate it. We dont have magnets on our course so i was using the open water capture mode. We set the speed we wanted captured and the system beeped and did all the right things. When we tested it , it would engage at the right time, but then surge a few mph quicker and stay there. (We did all this with no skiier on). Am i missing something? The RPM signal is set at standard should i change it to inverted?
  8. My liners always come out with my feet, might be the way i grab the tip of my ski and lever it off my feet. I dont think i could get my feet out any other way. l
  9. Life begins at 34. (34mph that is)
  10. I am not really up to date with speed control technology. Does classic perfect pass use the paddle wheel and the 3 event use GPS, other than that do they operate the same and can you still purchase classic pp?
  11. I am looking at installing perfect pass on my 1994 fuel injected prostar. We have to clip the bouys on and off each time we use the course but the mainline stays in the water. I am currently getting through at 32mph but a few of the guys are working on thier 36mph passes. Would the perfect pass wake edition work for us or should i spend the extra money get the 3 event edition? Do we need to use the magnets and would they work with removable bouys? (not sure how the magnet system is set up). Thanks.
  12. Thanks for all the feed back. Could there be an issue with water getting in the foam underneath. Or should i just seal it up and hope it escapes somewhere. I am in Australia so i dont have to worry about the water freezing.
  13. Have just discovered a small soft spot in the floor of my prostar. It is along the edge where the floor meets the side of the hull under the side pocket. About 1.5 feet behind the drivers seat. Feels like about 6 inches long. Should i be worried, i know there is no timber in the boat, so it is not rotten. I am not sure how the floor is constructed on the edges and dont want to start ripping it up. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
