  1. Skihart: Did you have to shorten the cable, or did it work right out of the box? Badger
  2. Wondering where the best place to buy a steering cable for 2006 Ski Nautique 190. Steering has got real stiff and all the discussion boards seem to think the only fix is a new cable. Should I go with the genuine Nautique cable, or is there a good generic cable that would work?
  3. Thanks everyone, great advice - I'm going to go looking for a larger high end ski as opposed to a wide ride
  4. I'm currently on an OBrien Endo. Looking for a performance 28 mph course ski, most of these recommendations are 32-34 mph skis. Tried a real wide body, a Connelly Mid SX, horrible ride, barely skiable (at least for me), every time I layed it on edge, it would go out from under me, never a problem on the Endo or Connelly Concept I rode for years.
  5. I haven't been in the course in 20 years, but have been skiing 100+ times a year down a big lazy river linking lots of 36 mph turns together. I'm 65, 5'8" and 170 pounds and thinking of returning to the course this summer, but promised my wife I would slow it down to 28 - 30 mph so as not to get hurt (I use to get pretty beat up chasing balls). Any recommendation on a slow speed ski, just looking to ski 28' off (hopefully like a machine, pass after pass). Prefer a Connelly (have lots of old boots kicking around). Thanks
  6. Getting too old and beat-up to be chasing balls any longer. But still love to free ski, on a big lazy river in Ontario daily that let's me get 30 - 40 turns in before it's my partners turn. Anyway, looking for a weeks vaca in Florida late October this year, any recommendations for ski schools with long lakes where you can link 20-30 turns before you have to drop. Need a ski school as don't want to drag the boat down for 5 days of skiing. All recommendations appreciated, thanks
  7. Schnitz Sent email March 16 on the Schnitz.com 'email me here' link March 5 at your Schnitz@mindspring.com March 4 on the Schnitz com Badger
  8. I've sent Schnitz three emails asking to purchase a speed slot fin (and will it attach to a Radar Theory and if not what fin block would I need), but am getting no answer. Any ideas on what's up Badger
  9. I'm wondering about the Theory specifically
  10. Are Radar skis made in the US, or overseas? I'd ask Radar but they don't seem to have a contact us section on their web site
  11. Thinking about slowing it down now that I'm in my 50's. Want to ski 28 - 32 mph, and I'm strictly 22/28/off skier (32 on my best days). I was going to get an HO Triumph, but now thinking about a Radar Theory, how would you rate the two. Also what size, my weight really fluctuates between 160 - 175, not sure what size to get. 67 Theory is 125-185 pounds, 69 175 - 222lbs. I should be on the 67, but if I'm at 175lbs, how well will it float at 28mph. Any thoughts?
  12. Jim, where would I get an adjustable fin block? Â Thanks
  13. Jim I was thinking of using a Schnitz speed slot fin, but what do I have to do to replace it?
  14. Thinking about slowing it down now that I'm in my 50's. Want to ski 28 - 32 mph, and I'm stictly 22/28/off skier (32 on my best days). I don't want to push past that, I've had it with season ending injuries. I'd rather ski ten 28 off passes in a row, than scramble and crash (and bust more ribs) trying to get past 32 Looking at a HO Triumph, any other suggestions (and at my age and stage don't want to spend $1500 on a Goode)
  15. Joe Darwin just sent copied it over to you
