Guy Haggard from Orlando/Windermere made the accuski.
There was a model/series that you had to maintain pressure on the foot pedal to keep it engaged. It was a PIA. He changed it on the later models.

@6Balls - Very good assesment of the way it is.

@Bruce: OK to save us all a bit of time and tape what is the result? Harder/easier/ the same?
-
Yes loose for sure. The whole idea is for your feet to come out liner and all.

Good story - You did the right thing

I said this in adifferent post:
I need a ski that is designed to run into 39 off - with my arms out, butt back, stiff legs, and bent over at the waist. Surely the technology exsists.
It would save a lot of aggravation.

Ditto - DON'T DRILL

Mike sent some specially machined screws with a point on them. You screw them into the bottom of the boot, position everything, give the plate a little tap with a rubber hammer and the screws mark the plate perfectly. Drill them out and then you can counter bore for the stock tapered head screws or use a thing called a truss head screw. Very clean set up!

I wanted a G-10 plate to mount my Stradas on. Called Mike Erb in Boosier City LA and in 4 days I was installing it on the ski. Great service, great product. Perfect.
Also, thanks to Jack Middleton for the referral.

I rode a 2011 all last season and It worked super for me. 28-32 off @34 MPH. On a very good day a couple at 35. 62 years old.
I demo'd everything else and nothing was as good for me.
I got a chance to try a 2012 thanks to the guys at Performance Ski in Orlando. It was even better. Slight change in the flex pattern I was told. Definately an improvement.

More like - "Thanks for the hunski ($100.) - See ya next year"
I actually heard that said to a Mens 2 skier at nationals about 14 years ago.

Thanks to all for the great feedback! Keep your thoughts coming.
For all of us that have to pay for our skis (and our mistakes), this sharing of honest evaluations really helps.

Tell me everything you know about the current line-up of Goodes. Are there real measureable differences in performance and are the differences equal to the additional cost as you move up the line. Also does the mid ride consistantly out perform the traditional shape etc.??

Skis great-perfect on the bottom- slight handle ding on the top, right at the firebird crest- can't really see it but ... $600. Blank. I can take your credit card for payment. I'll take pictures if you want as well.
