  1. THE 2024 NYD SKI TOG GIVEAWAY WINNERS ARE: Dwight W - Ortonville, MI Jesper S - c/o Pickos Ski School Margaret M - Spring Hill, KS Daniel M - Atlanta, GA Bruce S - Discovery Bay, CA THANK YOU TO THE WINNERS and THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ENTERED!!! LarryG SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM, LLC
  2. @DkLkSkr@ALPJr As mentioned, the DATE sort is on the LIST VIEW but the DATE itself is not visible. However, the DATE sort and DATE text is visible on the DETAILS and GALLERY VIEWs ... should have mentioned that. LarryG
  3. @DkLkSkr Actually the DATE is on the header of each listing category (see snapshot) so will sort on date, however, due to minimal space on mobile devices, left the actual date off. It will sort one-way, from newest to oldest, but you obviously would not know that unless you were comparing to a desktop instance. The screenshot below is from a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone. Those are about the narrowest. As you can see not much space for a DD MMM YR block of text. Left off the SIA# as well trying to gain as much area to show YR, Make, Model, and in case of skis, the length. That being said ... will put the inclusion of the actual date in the job-jar on mobile devices that can support that width (larger phones and tablets). Thanks for the feedback @DkLkSkr!!! LarryG@SIA
  4. THANK YOU for the kudos @bananaron! And just so you and other BALLERS know ... ALL DONATIONS (minus any PayPal fees) now go to supporting the focus Adaptive Athlete Organizations like Missouri Disabled Water Ski Association (MDWSA), Leaps of Faith Adaptive Skiers, Ann's Angels AWF, Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (B.O.E.C. - Keystone Adaptive Center). Used to use some of the donations to pay for the website costs (i.e. domain registration and web-hosting) but the advertising, store sales, and memberships will help pay for that now. Thanks again! LarryG@SIA
  5. THANKS @MitchellM ... That issue is FIXED as of late Wed night so PLEASE give it another try! Had to do with a function that used to just kick off a warning under the previous PHP version but now is a fatal error! Had to make it play well with the latest PHP version. LarryG@SIA
  6. THANK YOU @Bufootin!!! Embarrassed it has taken this long ... but doing the code something I enjoy [when LIFE allows]. Both sites are integrated and use much of the same framework code but the desktop and the mobile are different presentations so that results in some extra work. BoS makes use of commercially available Content Mgmt Systems (CMS) like Wordpress, Joomla, etc. that make textbook use Cascade Style Sheets (CSS) ability to modify presentation based on screen size. SIA uses CSS to do this as well ... and sometimes a sledge hammer ... but the difference is ... it's custom code! No doubt there are some bugs (so please report those) ... but it was time to get it out there! Thanks again Ballers! LarryG
  7. Greetings Ballers, Been a long, long, long, long, ... did I say long ... time coming, but finally have a MOBILE VERSION of the site coded and uploaded. Started coding the bloody thing THANKSGIVING 2022 ... had 80% done by NYD 2023 ... then came the long drawn out final 20%! BTW ... THANK YOU to those that did some BETA testing in AUG: JacobD, DonC, DougL, TerryJ, ToddL. Please visit SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM soon to try it out. 1) Code will detect MOBILE or DESKTOP but if it cannot, will default to DESKTOP (aka the FULL WEBSITE). 2) Hail Mary GO TO button at the bottom of each page in case you want to go to the "other" site, FULL or MOBILE. 3) Can obviously view either on a mobile device (like half of you have been doing for a long, long, long, long time) but the mobile site is a little more light-weight for now and uses the limited mobile display better. 4) If you encounter any oddities or obvious bugs, please feel free to drop me an email to fill the job-jar back up! Thanks again for your support in 2023. Looking forward to 2024! LarryG Lawrence L Greene, Manager SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM, LLC
  8. And next dumb question ... is this ALERT for a particular state or at federal level?

  10. HUCKLEFIN, Thanks for the comments, kudos, and donations! ... Not sure where DATA BREACH came from! Sounds like some security software on your PC/phone over-reacting potentially due to our webhost is a "shared" platform, so other websites are on the server as well. But on that topic ... in case someone is interested ... Could someone HACK the SIA website/database? YES but SIA uses a webhost that is responsible for typical server security so not good for their business if always getting hacked. Unfortunately, there are alot of people out there living in their parent's basement with nothing better to do. That being said, I doubt the HACKER's version of the Golden Globe Awards will give out a trophy for hacking the SIA website ... compared to say MasterCard! What could they get? SIA is well aware someone could hack the site so it requires bare minimum info (i.e name, city, state, country, email, [Level 1] password) to create a posting. Not much more than what used to be in the phonebook. No account required to INQUIRE to a posting. There are fields for a few other tidbits (i.e. address, birth month [only], phone, favorites) if you have entered them. It helps SIA to have a phone number in case a Buyer is looking to contact you if email is not getting through (like GMAIL putting SIA messages in the PROMOTIONS tab akin to a junk folder). As for PASSWORD ... SIA always recommends using a Level 1 PASSWORD. A Level 1 is something you would use for a FREE website and do not care if someone sees it, whereas a Level 2 maybe a Credit Card site, and a Level 3 is your retirement account. Any payments to SIA via the STORE or donations are handled via PayPal, so no payment information is maintained on SIA website. But in order to keep honest people honest, SIA will look into HASHING the passwords (thanks DougL). With today's computers, the normal hash algorithms can be brute-force cracked much easier than before, but hashing them will still be better than not. It does mean any LOST PASSWORDS will have to be changed rather than just emailed back to you. If you see that again, please take a screenshot and send it to me. Would like to see it. LarryG@SIA
  11. UPDATE: 1) A bug tally is being kept on the TEST - DESKTOP home page. 2) Thanks to JacobD for finding the FIRST one! Am sure there are more so please keep 'em coming. 3) The MOBILE site was optimized for PHONES (smaller display) but will still render fairly well on tablets but optimizing for tablets is still in the job-jar. CSS to the rescue! LarryG@SIA
  12. GREETINGS BALLERS ... LarryG @ SKI-IT-AGAIN here! It's time again to ask for a BIG FAVOR! TIME TO TEST A WAAAAAY LONG OVERDUE MOBILE VERSION OF SIA!!! This exercise has shown me where I did great at some aspects of my software design (coding for future scalability and expansion) and others that just had to be completed with a sledge hammer. OBJECTIVE: BEAT THE CRAP out of the software to find any bugs you can and report them! Suggestions and Questions also welcome! THE PRIZE: A FREE SLALOM TOG!!! Anyone who provides a bug report or offers a suggestion will be entered into a drawing for a FREE TOG! YOU ASK ... HOW DO I DO THIS: 1) Use the following URL. https://www.ski-it-again.com/TEST/php/skiitagain.php (NOTE: the directory "/TEST/" *** very important! *** ) The DESKTOP / FULL WEBSITE has the yellow "TEST-SITE" logo in the top left of any page. If that disappears, and you are on the FULL WEBSITE, then you managed to get to the LIVE site, so beware! The MOBILE has "SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM, LLC (TEST)" at the top. Note, the MOBILE code only exists in the TEST directory. 2) Please test both SIGNED-IN and not. 3) The code will detect MOBILE or DESKTOP device but Session Variables are used to "remember" where you were last. Therefore, if those Session Variables are still "alive" (30min usually) you will need to use the button in the footer to force the "other" mode. TRICK: If you notice a thin purple line in the upper right on the DESKTOP mode, that is a link to CLEAR YOUR SESSION VARS ... this will allow you to RESET as if your SESSION VARS have expired. You will also see these SESSION VARS and what their values are. 4) Links for the ENDLESS WINTER side of the website have been disabled for this exercise. Words of Warning: 1) TEST SITE is fully functional but some pages may be older and photos missing compared to LIVE site. HOWEVER, the TEST DB (i.e. members, postings, etc.) was synched to the LIVE DB at 08-14-2023@0104C. 2) PAYPAL links are LIVE so be careful if you hit the PP website, but the SIA STORE is NOT active on the MOBILE version [yet]. 3) Postings created in the TEST site will NOT show up on the LIVE site. So feel free to make some bogus postings but it keep it clean please! There are kids on this website! 🙂 4) Posting test inquiries will NOT be sent to the Seller, however, you should receive your complimentary copy. Same goes for TELL A FRIEND, you will get the CC but the friend will not. 5) Always look for "TEST" in the URL of the web browser OR in the subject line of an email. 6) If you are SIGNED-IN, recommend signing out before switching back to LIVE site. Have seen where the browser gets confused and results in fictitious SERVER ERRORS. 7) Some graphics (e.g. Advertising Banners) still need work to fit better. 😎 Report BUGS back to larryg@ski-it-again.com. Please include problem path (how do you repeat the problem) and/or screenshots if possible. THANK YOU BALLERS! LarryG@SIA

  15. @bananaron THANK YOU RON!!! SIA is looking forward to distributing this year's donations to its target adaptive organizations. This will be a record year but I KNOW THIS CROWD CAN DO BETTER!!! :-) How COOL would it be to distribute $750 or $1000 to each of the four organizations ... or add a fifth organization. As it stands, it will be about $600. If ANY OF YOU have donated ... THANK YOU ... and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! And if not, there is STILL TIME!!!

  19. @ski4xtc YOU ARE MOST WELCOME! Definitely not going to progress the sport with my PB so doing what I can with software skills, sponsorships, adaptive efforts, and non-pro training to keep the dream alive! Want to give a shout out to RobB, DonC, BryceG, and BobF for providing feedback on the Account Mgt software. Working the kinks out of it, planning to go live by 01 JAN. 2020 will hopefully provide time to make some additional improvements so stay tuned! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! LarryG@SIA
  20. Greetings BALLERS ... LarryG @ SKI-IT-AGAIN! Have a BIG favor to ask ... SIA has been writing new account management software for the SIA website as well as integrating Google Analytics ... but the software needs to be field TESTED!!! SIA has been trying to get this rolled out for sometime, but LIFE keeps popping up! Many of the changes are behind the scenes, but there is plenty to check out and comment on. OBJECTIVE: BEAT THE CRAP out of the software to find any bugs you can and report them! Suggestions and Questions also welcome! THE PRIZE: A FREE SLALOM TOG!!! Anyone who provides a bug report or offers a suggestion will be entered into a drawing for a free SLALOM TOG! HOW DO I DO THIS: 1) Use the following URL. http://www.ski-it-again.com/TEST/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=home 2) Use the SIGN IN button on the left navbar. If you can't recall your password, use the LOST PASSWORD utility. It is possible your password grabbed for the member database is different than you normally use. 3) The MANAGE ACCOUNT button is used to view your Profile, Postings (Active, Sold, Not Sold), and Google Analytic metrics. Words of Warning: 1) TEST SITE is fully functional but some pages may be older. 2) Postings created in the TEST site are not duped to the LIVE site. 3) Posting inquiries will NOT be sent to the seller, however, you will receive your complimentary copy. Same goes for TELL A FRIEND, you will get the CC but the friend will not. 4) Always look for "TEST" in the URL of the web browser OR in the subject line of an email. 5) Always look for "S.I.A. TEST SITE" on the website header. 6) Report BUGS back to larryg@ski-it-again.com. Please include problem path (how do you repeat the problem) and/or screenshots if possible. WHY IS THIS NEEDED? 1) The current architecture is such that every posting is a separate record/account which is not ideal for managing accounts. 2) Provides more ways for user interface customization such as "Your Favorite Summer Categories". 3) Allows for future upgrades such as registering to be notified for a particular item and whatever else WE can think up! 4) Allows for pre-filled forms and other user interface efficiencies. 5) It's Cool and a long time coming. Some ROE (Rules of Engagement): 1) Basic surfing and posting inquiries do not require signin/membership ... so no real diff from today for basic usage. 2) Posting creation, revision and account management require SIGN IN, but once signed in, many fields will pre-fill automatically. 3) There are 5 levels of membership: Basic, Premium, and (3) Power-User Levels. The Power-User Levels have been in existence for sometime, but are used mostly by Dealers. BASIC (Free) is what most people will use and as for Premium ... well for the monthly cost of a FooFoo Coffee, you will get whatever cool crap I can think up with respect to metrics and other useful info. 4) If you had an active posting in the last year, your account should already be there. Use the LOST PASSWORD utility if you do not recall your password. 5) FOR TESTING, any level of membership is selectable and will by-pass PayPal (for Premium and Power-User subscriptions). 6) Premium and above will have access to Google Analytics for their postings, however, an overnight feed is necessary for new postings. 7) The PayPal "By-Pass" page allows you to simulate a successful PayPal payment OR cancel your PayPal payment, thus seeing how the SIA website handles both cases. 8) NOTE: The WINTER side of SIA has not been fully updated. Once the SUMMER side is stable, will transfer changes to the cold side! And don't forget to enter the 2020 NYD SKI TOG GIVEAWAY!! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! THANK YOU BALLERS! LarryG@SIA
  21. @Orlando76, SIA rents webserver space and cannot control the timing limits for uploads. Every now and then the Al Gore Highway goes out to La-La-Land and times-out for various reasons like too many/large photo uploads for available upload speed and other times just cause it can! However, most of the time, the posting still makes it. Whenever that happens, close the dialog and go make sure the posting was created. Am prepping some large site upgrades, mostly in the account management area. Hoping to roll that out before end of FEB. More details to follow! Thanks for using the site!!! LarryG@SIA
  22. OK_SKIER, OLDJEEP, et al! APOLOGIES!!! APOLOGIES!!! APOLOGIES!!! SIA was testing some live updates and stomped on a file that caused several problems! Postings were still viewable but were not editable nor could you respond to them. All services (except RSS) are back up and running. Again, SIA apologizes for the break in service. LarryG@SIA Happy New Year!
  23. Power Washing is COMPLETE!!! Looks like the Domain Name Servers recognize SIA once again. http://www.ski-it-again.com Sorry for any withdrawals! (:-P) LarryG SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM
  24. Hey ... just a follow-up. Had Google do a malware scan of the website, and it turned up negative. Now that is not the end-all-be-all, but it adds a little bit of credability to my first posting! Again, if anyone has any problems, by all means, let me know! LarryG
  25. Richard / John, Sorry for the delay. All sorts of possible reasons but I did check out all the SIA files on the webhost and none have been altered from my local copies. Usually if someone hacks a site, they leave some clues like a new file or altered files. This does not mean it is not coming from the webserver that hosts the SIA website, but my host and its forum has not identified any issues but I will keep checking. SpyWare can sneak in from all sorts of places, including ones own ISP. Richard, if your cleaning software provided a resport of the offending spyware, please send me the report, so I can do a little research and see if the major virus scan producers list how it manifests itself. Ironically, given Google Analytics is part of the code, that is also a possible location. In fact, most hackers go after the BIG SITES. For them, bringing down a site like Google is where there thrills come from! Please, if anyone else, has an issue let me know and I will see if I can track it down. LarryG, Manager SKI-IT-AGAIN.COM, LLC
