  1. My son, a 36 / 15 off skier is looking at colleges with ski teams he could be a part of next year. Mostly looking @ Florida, and Carolinas. Can anyone reccomend one with the pluses and minuses of the academics and the ski team? He would like to compete and ski with the team.
  2. How much does your level fluctuate? Is it daily or over the course of the summer? Properly set up a standing lift can be easily moved with boat lift helper, (air bag system). also aids in moving to shore to remove at end of season, provided the fluctuation is over time, not tidal.

My lift goes in in May and out when kids leave for school in Sept. I have had Harbormaster canativer lift, Nyman water lift, vertical Shoremaster, and now a Floe. I like the ease of leveling the flow. The quietness of the screw jack 24v dc motor and with a canopy my boat stays dry and uncovered all season without the sun beating on the interior.

Having had countless lifts and boats on them over the years I have never had any hull damage issues. My bunk placement mimics the trailer spacing.

I have a beach/boat ramp on my property. With a crank up pontoon trailer, seasonal launching and removing are a one man operation.

I've only seen Hydro Hoist used in a marina setting where water was calm so I can't offer any help there.

  3. When I scroll through the titles, find one I like, go to it and either read and or res[pond and are finished, I click arrow back only to have to start over, read the whole list of titles till I get to the one I was just on to continue other subjects. My question is whether there is a way to highlight the last or all the subject titles I've opened? Or is there another way to move on without starting from scratch?
  4. I've been to JT's a couple times with my boy. I love that place. Lelani makes you feel like family. Chris, JT and the crew are great but there is something mystical about Jack. He is an encyclopedia of water ski knowledge. My back yard is the site of 1st televised nationals (1964) He knew more about that tournament than I do and I was there. Jack worked with my sone and he learned more with Jack in one session than he has with any one!

  5. Problem in the Northeast is there are very few opportunities to try before you buy. Most of the time we buy used. The green Vapor Lithium is the ski he had a bad fall with and just never felt right on that ski. The Mapple T3, and all the 2018+ Pro built's in 66" are disappearing faster than a magic trick. At his age distractions are plenty making time short on a already short season. I was hoping to start on something new. We may just have to go another season on the Senate.
  6. Blake, had a green Lithium 66. He skied ok on it. I think that ski got him into 34, @ 15 and maybe even a 22 off. He took a good wipe out and after that went back to his Senate. He was either intimidated or scared of the Vapor. This was 2 years ago. He is ready for something to progress again. I spotted the Mapple in his size and heard on good about those. I was told that at 15/22 off 34 the 67 would be ok because of his height and if he did spring up over night he wouldn't instantly out grow, I am basically got it down to between Mapple T3 and 66 Pro build.
  7. I have a boy outgrowing his 65 Senate Alloy. We have a chance to get a Mapple T3 or buy a Radar Pro Build Vapor. Priced the same. Mapple 66" Radar 67" or a 66 Radar?. He is 17,5'10, 140lbs. skiing 34 and moving to 36. Which would be the better choice for him?
  8. The rolling resistance of a FTB is much greater than a conventional MB or a 29er. So if your sticking to sand, snow ir graound that is soft the FTB is great. If you ever want to ride on hard pack dirt or pavement the other style is much more suited. I agree on a name brand used, over a box store new! ($.02)
