  1. I actually use "Fin Tweaking" in work to describe spending unending hours trying something that you are sure will make a difference to no benefit.  We run an online marketing company and no one skies but everyone knows what "Fin Tweaking" is.

Sorry for the distraction from serious and beneficial conversation

  2. Hi Surfing is going to be the challenge. The only one I can think of to give all 3 would be a Malibu Response with a Wedge. Draw is way under 2, but with wedge down you can surf. The only other thing would be to convert it to a closed cooling system to handle the salt. Hope that helps

  3. I am currently on EVO Fluid motion front and back, for about 6 years. I initially was on Venom then animals. I ski 34/36 28 - 38. In between i tried Goode (good boots) but the fluid motion allowed me to convert to double hard shells and not miss a beat and eventually skiing much better (PB on EVO). It has saved my lower body parts several times with timely releases. I'm not saying any boots are fool proof. But these were some of the easiest transition boots I've tried, and has helped me with my technique.
  4. Guys, you're missing it - it depends if your right foot forward or left foot forward on which way the rope twist. I'm right foot forward and my wife is left foot forward and they twist opposite directions.

Kidding, this thread was such a tangent had to add.

  5. As many have said, Malibu diamond hull has a really nice wake, and add a wedge, that some of them have, and you have a wake or surf boat. You can't imagine how it changes the wake. Depends on the need thou; if it's for just wakes or for a larger boat for more people. Good luck.
  6. definitely power wash. Oil does make it slippery, not necessarily for putting a ski on, but if you have to step on the platform from the dock and it's wet after you have oiled it -have someone with a video - i've ended up in the lake :)
  7. Yes, and I've participated in 2 other sports nationals, and neither required a regional attendance, just a qualification based on level. The cost and time for regional's is to high to attend both regional's and national's. So I have and know of others that have bowed out of tournaments all together. So if you are looking and revenue, this is a scenario that i have not heard mentioned. Still love to ski.
