  1. I always thought they were two of the best exercises you could do. However lately I have been hearing they can mess you up. I due have problems with my hips and am afraid the above exercises will make them worse. I know there are a lots of knowledgeable people on this site when it comes to work outs just looking for some of your thoughts. Thanks
  2. @MattP I am well aware of the rowing regatta, great event. Just think it would be really hard to get a motorized event approved I know the speed limit on the river is somewhere around 12MPH. At least the river is clean enough to swim in now on certain days.
  3. @Edbrazil I also have thought a Charles River tourney would be awesome but I bet the permitting process would be impossible or a total nightmare at best.
  4. My 2014 Mastercraft 5.7 is incredible with how little fuel it burns always amazes me.
  5. Years ago they had pretty good tests with all kind of info about noise level, acceleration, times wake heights ect. From reading the description of the tests it sounds like they still do all kinds of tests they just do not give the reader the info any more. There is nothing in the tests you can't get of any of the manufacturer's brochures.
  6. I have a 68 A3 it is a 2014 but never heard of a "Radioactive" A3 so not sure if that is a different model or not.
  7. Skied today 59 air 59 water in a camaro shorty was fine.
  8. @blakeyates Funny you tell that story Wade Cox did a clinic at my house about three weeks ago and he was telling that same story about the TN skiers.
  9. @Horton is there a special prize for the 100k viewer of this thread?
  10. We ski with a guy who is always changing ski's changing settings everything is always crap except of course the skier. Well we convinced him that putting your fin on backwards was the hot new set up well he did it and actually skied the same as he always does.
  11. @Horton Just wondering how many people who have recently purchased new ski's say in the last one or two years have actually improved there buoy count?
  12. Thanks great job the most time I ever spent watching a web cast.
  13. You still need the talent I have skied with guys for 30 years that still can not run 15 off at 34 mph.
  14. Staying relatively injury free is a huge key as we get older.
  15. There is only about one ball difference from men's 3 4 5 and 6
  16. If you look at the rankings as of today you need an average of 92.17 balls to reach level 8 in Men's 3 and 92.75 in Men's 6 it is not getting any easier for us old guys.
  17. We had a competition on the mini course to see you could run the most buoys in a row at 43 off. A buddy of mine (Skip) went first and ran 100 straight I went after him so had a goal to beat and did like 105 or something like that and I just about had a heart attack doing it. He would have smoked me if I had gone first he just did enough that he thought no one was going to pass him. The course we had set up was in a tight turn area so the spray coming of the side of the boat was hitting the skier real good every turn with the rope so short.
  18. @ToddL Have you ever figured out how much farther the skier has to travel versus the boat at different line lengths?
  19. Quick look at ranking lists for those with a avg of 100 or better or 4 at 38 Mens Number 7 1 6 15 5 38 4 58 3 35 2 31 1 33 Boys 3 13 Total 224 Open woman 7 I did not include open men because a lot of them are already listed in the age group ranks already
  20. @Horton Was excited at 50K views for this thread its now over 70k
  21. Its all about price I bought a 2014 not loaded but with everything I needed bow cover, bimini, ZO, trailer had 1000 hours but also comes with 3 years remaining on warranty paid $33,000 leaves me with a whole lot extra to add any options I want.
