  1. @chaloux when I had my 14 I did switch to a 3 blade from acme and it made a huge difference..

I called acme up as they are local in michigan and they designed one to work.  I still have it if anyone wants to buy it as I have a new mc now.

Also any lake longer than 2100 ft and you'll never know the difference

  2. @RichardDoane , Yes I truly loved being the policeman this year and letting people know that their SS expired 2 days ago and now they need the refresher before tomorrow.Or they took it and it didn't show in the system that they did. This happened more toward the end of the year, hopefully AWSA will figure out a way to notify people that it expired so we don't have to.If not I am guessing we will have a lot of emails/texts to send out for the first tournament.

  3. I skied @Sedge s-line rope one set last fall , it felt good .

I could not tell it apart from the in-tow I use or the non optimized masterline.

I do not like the optimized...too stretchy

  4. @NikolG "It's in every industry and sport, why not waterskiing!? " and that thinking and statement is exactly why we are not a free country anymore.

The opposition to it has nothing to do with safesport and if it is good or not.

@horton if the predators had ever gotten taken to the woodshed even once we would not be having this discussion, but that doesn't happen anymore.

Will safesport take them to the woodshed? Highly unlikely!

  5. @Jtim3032 yes you are correct , that was when we had the issues. What I found works really well is you plug the power bank into the boats 12v and then the receiver into the power bank.

You never have to take the power bank out of the boat to charge and never lose power.

    Win win!

By the way seeing as I haven't talked with you since last June when I got mine , congrats on the great system and success!

  6. @MISkier we found that if you plug straight into the usb the power may not be enough and tends to drop too low. If you plug into a 12v with a usb adapter it resolves that issue.

The power bank we found has been the best way to ensure no issues.

  7. @Jody_Seal

Jump is slightly different I would say. If the boat is "out of course" then there is grey area to be used. For example I help out out at a number of collegiate tournaments and when pulling a B jumper out of course and they ask for a collegiate narrow, I am going to "help" by driving slightly away to take slack out. Much the same as your example above. However my feeling is once you are "in course" there is no grey area. So I agree with @Horton to a point.

The excitement of being a part of someone becoming addicted to jump is the cost of bending the rules maybe? The rule for driving out of course is you are to maintain a straight path the same as in course I believe? I am sure someone will excoriate me as is per usual on any boat path comments on BOS!

No one is going to bump their nops score with a 28' jump.

My feeling is if you can get someone hooked on 3 event , you have them for life.

  8. @jayski in the construction world any piece of equipment is rented per day not per hour. When I call to rent I tell them what i need , they send out the equipment . I might get a brand new skytrack or i might get one 10 years old . The cost to rent is the same. The equipment does the job. Then i call and they come pick it up and send me a bill.

Yes we mutter when we get the 10 year old one but it still does the job and a lot of times if i do complain they say thats the only one available right now.

I get billed for rent of the equipment and trucking to and from the job .

Does this relate to ski boats? yes and no....

I am extremely thankful we in Michigan have big support from our MC dealer!
