@DaveD
glad you had a good time , hopefully we will see you around some more

I have just over 30 hours on mine now ,all in the course. The more I drive it the more you realize you need far less steering input then you think (less is better) , I think it tracks great and @tfin said it best

@Razorskier1, After much testing with different props from ACME. (they are only an hour from us)ACME was extremely helpful and sent us 4 or 5 different props to test based on their recommendation.
We found that the ACME 1281 3 blade with a .065 cup was the best prop out there. I got 5020 RPM and 43.6 mph at WOT and significantly better acceleration with a skier and it skied awesome in the course as well.

We have a precast company in town .I called them up and they had a bunch of 8 " plank that they ruined in the manufacturing process
And gave them to me for nothing , you just need a trailer and sky track to get them in place . They will last forever I got 6 or 8 pcs plus they will span over imperfections in the ground

@Razorskier1 did you have to adjust the bunks on your lift For the added width?
-
@thager take heart I lost 16" of ice in 9 days to have open water here in Michigan. Skiing tonight I can't wait ,we'll put the course in on Saturday
-
@razorskier1 pretty sure I saw your boat coming down the line at the factory a few weeks ago when I did the tour . I thought it was a great looking boat then ,even better now that its done.

I think Llewelen's kid is a goalie living in the usa ,not sure though

I would rather have a gps receiver at the pylon ,which at the end of the course would give the driver feedback as to centerline deviation from the pylon point. If that could show up on the new MC display that would be cool

I almost always do 2 quick jumps on the ski while I am in the white water just before the pullout , this usually adjusts all the necessary equipment
-
good times ,look at the guy hand timing out the side of the boat, and yet you could still ski!

wow ,the actual cost of the property is not bad but that tax is ridiculous . You would have to get it re-zoned to a more favorable zoning if 2-4 people bought it together

I am willing to let anybody try it on my lake, ski all year.......hmmmmm it might be less expensive than the psych ward
-
@churchy ours is 2,000' and we ski it straight in . 36mph locks in with ZO and most promo boats about 30' before the 55m, I love it...... but then again just probably used to it

Here is a picture of our lake (Billy's Puddle ) taken yesterday morning , I wish it was just before a set but I Had to get to work :-(

I have it in our 2001 malibu lx ,after I got the upgrade software midway through last summer it definately helped it settle in quicker, especially at 36 mph . I love it; now I am getting 1.77 at 1 ball pretty consistantly . Z-box is more operator intensive than ZO but once you get used to driving it it's great

Still 8-10" of ice on the lake here in michigan, last year on this date I was skiing in 70 degree water ......kind of miss global warming
-
@AB I am sure I could probably get away with it ,but is it worth the risk is what I have to decide. As dry as it has been by us I can't take the risk of having to empty out the lake. I think I might try the chemical route this year along with the dye that I put in about half way through last year and see what happens. Or next year some blue herons may have dropped something from indiana in on there way north next spring

any other thing besides the carp ? I checked with our DNR in Michigan and we can not get them in any form. This will be my 3rd year for the lake and last year the weeds started coming in on the shoreline. I used copper sulphate for the algea ,but what works best & cheaply for the rest?

Kurt Rotman, Burnips ,Michigan.I work in the construction buisness. Married to my wife of 24 yrs & 3 children. I started skiing when I was 9 or so .my family always had a boat just never a ski boat. I got hooked on course skiing when I was 20 .The first time thru the course was behind my Dad's 23 ' sea ray ......I landed somewhere by 1 ball after I flew out the front. Who's ever course it was sorry about the PVC pipes I had no idea the damage I am sure we did. Two years ago I finished digging our own lake Billy's Puddle (my ID photo) which was a long time dream .My ski buddy is my 17 yr old son ,my goal this year is to run 35 so I can go to nationals with him

Spartanski ,there are several ski sites over in the fenton - flint area. However I do not think any of them have an open ski club, however they all hold tournaments. Like was said earlier look on the web page, there are also 4 sites on the west side now including placid. And all of those will be holding tournaments as well

Dan I have an 01 malibu and I am loving the z box ,the trouble comes when I have a new driver that drives it like ZO and over accelerates then it slows down too much between the gates and 1 ball then accelerates between 2 & 3 . If you throttle up right to the needed rpm it is perfect.
It takes a little to get used to but it is great when dialed in.I also have lowered my setting to a 7 and it feels just like my buddy's '12 TXI
