  1. Mine pulls fantastic on the course. Please read my counter steering adjustment thread. I moved the steering linkage towards the rudder center (there are 2 available holes predrilled and threaded) and it now takes less effort and drives similar to my old 2011 Nautique 200.
  2. I have had my new Prostar for all most a week but due to sever thunderstorms almost daily, I only have 4 hours on it. I thought I was having to move the steering wheel too much for correct tracking compared to my Nautique. Upon calling the factory, I was informed that Mastercraft designed two holes for the steering linkage to attach to the rudder assembly. I changed to the hole closest to the rudder and have less effort needed to countersteer and smaller movments to keep a descent track while on the course. I hope this helps others wanting a specific method of steering efforts.
  3. Marcus Brown called me yesterday and we had a great conversation! I am so glad he was involved in the design.
  4. Greg your test would be the ultimate test. I usually do not ask for opinions in a forum but find most here seem truthful and realistic. There seem to be very few haters here and that is a relief. When I traded from Mastercraft, the Nautuque dealer brought out a 200 and left it for a day or two and we decided. There are no Prostars available for this kind of sales promotion. From what I have heard, there is no need at this time.
  5. By NO means am I even close to being a short line skier. I am lucky to run several 28's at 34mph in a season. However, I pull several ski partners who are short line skiers in our group who participate in tournaments as well as the Nationals and don't want to adversely affect their training efforts. One partner runs 38.
  6. I currently own a 2011 CC 200 CB and l am seriously considering ordering a new Mastercraft Prostar. I am being cautioned as I am hearing second hand that an aggressive short line skier can pull the boat side to side on the course. The new Prostar is a huge improvement but does not track as well as the CC 200. I have had 3 Prostars starting the 2002 and my Nautique is my first CC. In my mind, I can't believe that with Marcus Brown heavily involved in the design that they would green light a boat that does not have great tracking. Are these comments from other brand loyalists? Your thoughts will be appreciated!
  7. I have a 2011 Nautique 200 and one of my lake partners received his 2013 in May. I have not warmed to his yet. Terrible throttle action. Hopefully 2014 will fix this problem that seems universal.
  8. Very well written with passion! I can't wait to ski behind your creation!
  9. D-3's are very stable and forgiving for my many mistakes.
  10. I've skiied on the Z7 ST and X-7 and really enjoyed them. I just switched to the Nano Twist Wide Ride.
  11. I don't ski close to your level, but what a gorgeous setting for a ski course!
  12. I can't find sizing for the Camero. Any links?
  13. Any sugestions on your favorite pull over comp vest? I'm expecting Eagle to be a popular choice.
  14. I skied my first set on May 5 but felt ready about 4 days earlier. At my six week check up, the Doctor told me I could do whatever I wanted. He stated that I would know when to try sking for the first time. I was able to walk 2-3 miles a day at 4 weeks post op. I was back on my motorcycle after the six week check. I was riding my bycycle and did the eliptical 5 days a week at 6 weeks post op. I worked over half of the time backwards (eliptical) which stretched some of the stiffness. Believe it or not, I skied better and sooner with my new straight leg at the start of the new season. I was a total nut case on the first pull. I had no idea what that first deep water start would feel like. I can't guarantee yours or any others will have my same results, but this is my story. If I can help you or others with any other advise, I will do so! I wish I had done it sooner. No over the counter or precriptions are used now and I have NO pain!
  15. Chris, My lake partner found your question and I will give you my story. I had a total Biomet Signiture Knee on March 7 2012. I tried over 8 years to find the right over the counter supplement and prescriptions to elongate the time until surgery was the last resort. I am 58 and NOT a shortline skier. I along with 3 others built a dedicated ski lake. I was going to wait until Fall for the surgery, but this last winter things went so painfully downhill that even staying in Florida did not work. Being an engineer, I was waiting on the 'right' procedure. I had a chance to attend a seminar about hip and knee replacments on January. When I heard that after an MRI of the diseased knee area, hip and ankle, Biomet builds a model. They along with the Doctor agree on all the post surgery measurments and alignments. Then the new knee was built. The Doctor brought in an x-ray of their greatest damage of bone on bone, put mine up and said mine was the worst case so far. While on the operating table, specially designed for this procedure, the surgeon has jig that he puts on the upper bone and makes 4 cuts. The lower bone is the same. The two new pieces are installed and measurments checked. I kept complaining about most of the pain on the inside of my new knee. While open, he freed up all the connective tisue since I was going to be very active. After some time, these connective tissues reconnect at the new good position. I showed the Doctor a video of a pull and he did not see a problem post surgery. Physical therapy was very painful but they knew I wanted to go back to the course. At 21 days post op, I had 127 degrees of flexion. To prepare for surgery, while in Florida I rode my bycycle 25 miles a day and when in Indiana 30 minutes on my eliptical.
