Not able to give advice going from a vapor to a Works directly, but can share my experience with the Works 01. I have skied several Radars and loved the ones I rode. Picked up a Works 01 (bought without demo as I had been riding Omegas for 3 years and figured it would be similar, but better....it is). Looking at my skiing log, did my first set on the ski in May of last year at Swiss and my summary of the review is: First set on the ski with stock settings, free skied opener, then 28, 3 x 32, 35 and 5 @38 all at 34 mph. The ski is very fast, will carve very short radius turns without losing speed. Allow the ski to establish angle out of the turn and you will have tons of space going to the next buoy. Awesome on-side turns. Ski rolls on edge exceptionally well. My style is a bit more of grip it and rip it (although trying to improve) rather than smooth technique, but the more you ask of the ski, the more it gives. Have not skied as much this spring as usual, but recently been skiing some very rough water, windy conditions. I am amazed what this ski can do even in pretty challenging conditions. To get and idea of what the 01 and 02 can do, watch Will Asher , Jon Travers and Allie Nicholson on the 01. Then watch Beny Stadlebauer, Rob Hazelwood and Jamie Bull on the 02...(all on TWBC from the Swiss Pro) There were a lot of Syndicates on the podium Sunday. Great skiers on great skis. Give either a rip, you will not be sorry.
