  1. Iv been doing dry land practice quite a bit lately and iv developed a leverage position that I like and I think will be effective, but here is the deal. Last year I did the same, worked on dry land to get my muscle memory in a good spot but I could never translate it to the water as much as I would have liked.. At all..

So what are your ideas on on efficiently translating dry land muscle training to the water.

Here are some pictures I took yesterday while I was working.409a49c81afda9238f822e95034872.jpg914d427ed6e2c72162194253c7f94c.jpgc73ab509827c0e40bdbe6732a030cf.jpg

  2. Tubing..... Seriously.? What are your thoughts? Personally I can barely stomache the idea that tubing is becoming a legitamate sport. Sure it's great for all the people who don't have enough natural talent ;) to ski trick or jump... But I never thought USAWS would add this to the list of sports it supports and do this to themselves...
  3. The reason we are trying to go the cheapest way possible (other than the obvious) is because we are purchasing a boat, putting about 2 grand in it to make it a stunner, and we still have two other mastercrafts to take care of.

If I'm hearing you all correctly

1.) Buy new, because it eliminates tons of risk taking

2.) buy stargazer because it will allow to use PP classic, or GPS, and upgrade with z box and will improve resale

@eleeski I am the primary user behind the boat. I am planning on learning some tricks this year but it won't be vital for the boats speed to be dead on, last summer my dad pulled me a bit on the trick ski and I didn't feel the need for PP.

  4. Does stargazer respond to the pull of the skier like ZO or is it a gps based PP classic type deal?

What are all the components needed for a digital pro version. The one we are looking at has...

    (1) PerfectPass Digital-Pro Master Module

    (2) Smart Timer Magnetic Sensor; 17½ Ft Harness; (1) 3 Pin Female connector

    (1) 12 Ft Cable; (2) 2 Pin Female Connectors

    (1) 11 Ft CSA CMG 18 AWG Harness; (1) 6 Pin Male, (1) 2 Pin Male, and (1) 5 Pin Female Connector

    (1) 1.8 Degree Step Motor 5618L-54-02; 4.08V 1.6A w/o Knob; (1) 6 Pin Female Connector and (1) 2 Pin Female Connector

I know this doesnt come with the display on the dash. But we have found a few for under 100 bucks. Seems reasonable.

  5. We just signed the contract for a 1995 mastercraft prostar 190 with a corvette LT-1. This boat doesnt have any speed control onboard, what is the cheapest option.. My guess is that is not a TBW (throttle by wire)

Coming from an open lake, behind a 1976 mastercraft skier.

Going to be skiing on a course regularly now and speed is going to be a big factor. "Ballparking it" may not be enough now. It would be awesome to have PP, just dont know what to get.

  6. Our tech looked at it last weekend. Took it on a full test on the water looked it over top cap to tracking fin, said it was in almost perfect shape. The cracks in the block, he said were down where the block opens up to drain and thinks that at one point sediment kept water from exiting, and made them. He said they are tiny to be exaggerating. We have told the dealer we will buy it. The only part is, this boat is on trade, and they can't sell it untill the owner of it gets his boat that he custom ordered. And they aren't giving us any time frame.... In all honesty this boat is worth the wait. It is two years older than our ps205 but they have the exact same color scheme.. Twins ;) I'm super excited to see it in person. Pictures are t enough for my boat hungry gaze.

Here are pictures from the dealer.50794e219a50452c8a4b446e45b64c.jpgc0ea5b8baecfae3320867bf5b403ea.jpgc0ea5b8baecfae3320867bf5b403ea.jpg9a9dd86ae79b720fdd32fd13c0b690.jpg97dbc583d65c3ca5b4a50cafa815e5.jpg

  7. In Kansas City. We ski at Pomme De Terre, hickory county, no course but excellent water, still about forty ish degrees if I recall correctly.

My dad has been trying to get the army Corps of engineers to allow a course on that lake but the fisherman petitioned the heck against it..

  8. So here is the deal, upon further review of the boat, we are getting word that there are "hairline cracks on the block"

Don't know if the heads are aluminum or cast iron

What is the deal with a corvette LT-1 I get it that it is a badass motor.. But iv heard that they have some drawbacks, and would like to know if by buying this boat we are getting ourselves in a hole or not.

If the boat has been overheated with aluminum heads, they are pretty much shot, $3,000 repair.. If the block is cracked big time, at least $5000..

Can anyone say if they have had any issues with this motor? As I recall it has around 660 hours

We just don't know what to think about it, the dealer is acting a little sketchy. But they are cooperating, just feel like they aren't saying everything. Anyways we are going to take it out this weekend and run the snot out of it and see if it's making/milking oil.

    Really hope to hear back

    -KcSwerver and family.
