been riding the Fish Tail for a some weeks now and generally like it. Typical set for me starts at 22, 28x2, 32 and hopefully somewhere at 35 on a good day. My issue is that the ski does not seem to like the longer line lengths. Often my 22 is the worst pass of the set, hunting at the gate, overturning both sides, tip rise you name it. Things get better as the line gets shorter but I'd love to find a setting that would give me a little more stability at my opening passes without giving up too much a the other end...Currently at stock length and DFT but deeper at 2.479. hoping one of the shorter, deeper setting above might help...thoughts?

also depends on which filter you're using...some of the larger filters allow you to carry more oil.
-
Thanks, I'll try those tonight...are you using any shims in the slots?
-
Anyone have any short, deep settings they're liking for the 66.5?
-
thanks for the info, last question...does it eliminate the need for the white plastic centering screws? how far forward did you carry the Bondo
-
Seems simple enough...What kept the bondo from sticking to the boot?
-
That's an excellent upgrade...thanks. Has anyone made a "heel horseshoe," similar to what's on the new supershell, using bondo? I've heard of it being done and would love to see some pics if they're out there.

Actually I'm not but your T Races are sitting in my warehouse if you still want them.

With Connelly discontinuing the Stealth, will Terrence begin producing/selling the Fogmans again?

Good advice...decision made...thanks

I know this topic has likely been beaten to death but everything I found was pretty old...thought there may be some new opinions now that there are many more white cuffs out there.
Turns out I partially tore the "shelf" off the back of my black shell at a tourney yesterday...hopefully that explains a little of the erratic skiing..probably wishful thinking.
Anyway, time to replace and considering trying the white...anyone else made the switch? Glad they did or wish they hadn't?

Time to trade in the Green Machine. I'm about to post this on Ski it Again but thought i'd mention it here first. Drop me a line if anyone's interested. Was thinking somewhere around $375 but I'm pretty open to discussion. Awesome ski as you all know.
Cant seem to figure out how to attach a pic, so here's the link...http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=33683
Thanks!

Not sure if you ended up talking to Dave or not, but if not, give him a call...sounds like he may have something to help with your onside.

Ditto on the tape...

I've used Spray Nine a few times with great results...like everyone else, I follow with 303 Protectant.

Go to YouTube and search terry winter...he's posted some really good stuff.

Rossi and JB used to talk about this a lot. You work from the top of the swing to the bottom then ride the momentum to the top...much like working from buoy to centerline and riding it from centerline out to the buoy. I wish it were that easy...
-
We use the 1\4 inch.
-
Yup, use it on every buoy for the last 10+ years in 48" lengths. No tide here in VT but our Resevoir can fluctuate greatly with the rain...this year sometimes 2 to 4+ feet in a few days. We use the THB 4-100 hooks on one end and zip-tie to the buoy.

These work well also...http://www.backcountry.com/sea-to-summit-dry-mesh-duffle

Check this stuff out...flexible rope is super durable. http://proflexmfg.com

No question about it. JB would have crushed that course

I have 3 Camaro tops and the blacktec longsleeve shorty...I agree they're awesome but is nobody else having any durability issues? My blacktec LS has about 6 sets on it and is already tearing around the logos, the shorty is a few years old but is a mess. I have 5+ year old Oneills that are in better shape. I agree the comfort is second to none but overall I'm not so sure. I think I might be going back to Oneill...

It seems like its been oddly quite since the Flextail was released...anyone skiing one yet?
