We used to run a mainline with separate buoy anchors, not on a river, but anyway it was a constant pita, the mainline was forever off to one side or the other. I'm not sure how they work but insta slalom lists river adapters on there website.

How many sets on new binders? I recall when i switched from rubber to hardshells that the ski gets really twitchy. A rubber boot flexes a lot, hardshells don't, it took me a few sets to learn to be a little more still on the ski, any movement forward is instantly transfered to the ski. Just some random thoughts, maybe a few more sets needed.

One of my ski partners had major shoulder surgery last June and started skiing again this past February, he followed all Dr's and pt"s instructions, started out on jumpers, moved to combo skis then his slalom with free skiing for a while, he's fully back now.

That would have to be a direct injection system, second high pressure pump at motor, under intake manifold cam driven.

Sounds like poor water flow/volume, motor not overheating? There are 2 water pumps, intake and circulation, also very important no air leaks on the suction side of the intake pump.

Does it crank and not start or not crank over at all? I vaguely recall neutral switch will allow crank but cuts off fuel? Also think you're correct about overheating, would still run but you'd get the alarm screaming

For years I've been using 50/50 vinegar and spray wax, "light" hard water spots it works pretty well and leaves some wax protection behind.

That sounds like way too much work to crank to me, can you see all the pulleys? Ive seen the cable walk off the side of the pulley when it goes slack, usually gets tight and starts eating things at that point.

I don't love them for actual use while skiing but I've seen solid styrofoam balls on a course that i believe turned out to be fish/crab trap markers. Kinda felt like hitting with a boat or ankle would suck a little.

Sounds like a bad connection at one of the big cables, red cable at starter solenoid or block ground or something, get a dvom and do voltage drop tests on the whole thing.

I should be getting an order from them first part of the coming week, I've ordered from them many times over the years and they were always pretty good but it's usually every 2nd or 3rd year I need stuff. Might(????) have changed hands recently? Can't remember for sure,

That one skier who's never ready when it's their turn, changes from street clothes to suit instead of showing up in a suit, takes 20 minutes to figure out where their gloves are and another 10 to get into bindings.......

At the end of the day it's up to you, there's a hundred plus ways of getting hurt skiing, most of them you can't predict or control, but if you can't ski without clinchers or a power vest it gets even more complicated. Plenty of guys with back issues are quite happy their powervest, plenty of husky guys get a lot of benefit from the clincher style gloves, it's up to tou to weigh the risk/reward.

Clincher was the brand name of the fist version of these gloves, there's a dowel sewn into a strap at the end of the middle 2 fingers, the strap runs down to the wrist wrap, i think both masterline and radar make a version now, pro lock maybe? Usually see bigger guys use them to help with grip especially for deep water starts. The risk could be an extra half second before the handle is gone during a crash,
