  1. @Roger it feels slow because you're traveling faster and the boat isn't ahead of you now. You're getting free off the wakes with also added swing speed. A winning combination. When the mind senses that , it also slows down and makes thing feel like slow motion. Glad you liked it !!
  2. So I had C5/C6 disc replecement and instead of doing a fusion they did a artificial one. Long story short that was gonna allow me to keep my mobility. Can't tell you how much better I feel and even all the muscles that were protecting it for so long feel so much better and are able to relax more. I think that's one of the sorest parts of my body after I take a break from skiing after I come back is the lower traps , sub scap area. @Horton I'm nit kidding you when I woke up from the surgery the surgeon had a giant Starbucks in his hand, then he told me to go for a 2 mile light walk when I got home. If anyone needs the very best surgeon just outside of Orlando , I have your guy. CP
  3. Another food for thought. Why should a skier that becomes fit and strong be punished by ZO when .. key word when they are being pulled by a 400 hrp engine ?? @Horton @AdamCord
  4. @rico and me , maybe coffee with me and @Horton then ski all together !!
  5. No Parrish prank , I wanna ski better and I want to see the sport as a whole ski better.
  6. Well guys after all the talk about ZO in trick mode I had to go out and try it today and I gotta tell you I'm pretty blown away with the results. Hands down Nick P is excactly right about what the ZO does in normal slalom mode then down to trick mode. I got to drive my training partner today who is about my size and also skied with it so he could here the difference too in both settings. But there is a quick high roar but it's on and off you quick which I think makes a lot of senses why it feels better. Couple things that lead to that with really good results , acceleration and less line tension off the wakes out to the bouy. In normal slalom mode the ZO is on you longer and does not care where you are in the course , it has one job and one job only and that's get back to constant speed. Today I couldn't believe how much more speed I carried through out the course and how free of the boat I was and not feeling the ZO on me so hard out to the bouy. When you achieve that you're gonna be able to get the ski back under the line to center without the boat picking you up and you're gonna stay early and be way more efficient and keep moving better without causing unnecessary loads and forces. The end result of this is really simple and that's more bouys , which leads to more confidence and then goals get achieved and the sport moves forward with some happy skiers out there. Guys I've already made some phone calls today and I'm gonna do everything in my power to keep pushing this and move forward. It's time to get some good mojo going back into our sport and time to make slalom skiing a little more easier on a upward swing. In my opinion slalom skiing the last ten years hasn't gotten any easier. Cheers , CP
  7. and she makes it look easy !! We have a new phenom in the sport !! Women's slalom is starting to look very interesting and could be fun to watch in 2017 !! Regina, Whit , Manon and Brooke developing rapidly with her bouy count !!
  8. Really feel like the size of the skier meaning height and weight and what kind of line they run through the turn and also how they wanna be picked up by the skier. In a lot of my coaching clinics what common fix I see is there on the wrong letter , I can actually tell by not even knowing there letter because of lack of support at the finish of the turn. Once they go up a letter or two they just got there money's worth right there. I highly recommend not using + until some bugs get fixed on that. Tower
  9. Hey @chris55 thanks for asking , as of right now I'm just gonna listen to the body and take it slow and be smart. The body will let me know when it's 100% ready and with with forces , loads , jars and hits we take I don't want to come back to soon. I had some nerve damage on the right side of my body and a significant amount of atrophy so I've been working very hard with a therapist to build the atrophy back cause your muscles won't grow back on its own and the last week or so I feel like I'm getting some good signs of some of the muscles releasing around my neck and not staying in protect mode. Ha ha and for those young guys , those young guys are pretty darn good , I'm just gonna be thankful to be out there and hopefully set some high standards for myself and give it a go. Thanks @chris55 have a great rest of your season.
  10. Shoulder injury ?? Interesting ...
  11. @lcgordon you can send me up to 4 passes and try to pick the passes that you feel like you'd want me to see out of that set. Then from there I do voice over at any speed , frame by frame or normal speed. After that I send it back to you , we chat about it before your next set.
  12. Finished #1 in the world in slalom and jump in the same year , only men's skier to do that to this date
  13. great guy , really happy for him , I know Andy would be proud.
  14. Wow you guys have made my evening after a tearful day today at Andy's memorial service. Hearing all the positive feedback about the article and then going out and trying it and titally feeling the difference. That's what's so exciting about slalom skiing , it's that buzz you get from satisfaction from learning something new and makes it exciting to go out and try it again and work on it some more your next set. @Razorskier1 I was working with my father this morning and we was pulling up his inside arm into his onside turn. What was interesting he was doing that more than into his offside. I'm the opposite , I struggle with that and really have to think about it into my 2,4 !! My point is that it was crazy seeing the difference and stating over the ski and going out to apex better and over his ski through the turn and not inside shoulder heavy. I wonder if you're doing the same ? Something to think about. @BlueSki I can move my eyes through sooner and not be punished like I would If I did that out of my offside, hope that helps. @ToddL yes I think It def does. Glad you liked it keep ripping @Wish , that feeling that you're feeling is spot on and lets letting you know that you're doing it more efficiently. Congrats on your first 28 off @DefectiveDave stoked for you !!
  15. @toddl @kingshred @ALPJr @ozski @scuppers @TEL you guys are on the right track on keep working on the timing of those movements , we want to be efficient and create space and stay early without loading early and spiking the Z/O at the wrong time. That's where I can help you with the timing with some of those things and keeping it simple. It should feel easy , and it will when you do it right. Timing is everything. Work hard , build a foundation, put the time in and it will show up I promise you. @Horton thanks again for the love , see you in California or this weekend ?
  16. @gregy great question, you can spread those sets out as much as you like that's what's so nice about the package deal but I do recommend not wait to long between sets cause it is a process like it is in anything else , golf swing coaches etc. are there consistently for a reason. You send send me up to 4 passes , hope this helps. CP3
  17. Hey guys $10 dollars off any coaching set if you book this weekend through Monday. Visit and book at www.cp3ski.com
  18. @wish the things that you're looking for are all featured in this coaching program. That's what I state for more info to email me. If you would like to hear more about it let me know. Guys my #1 purpose of this online coaching program is to make you guys better slalom skiers , and make it very cost-efficient . And yes I agree with you guys having a coach in the boat definitely gives the feel of the interaction from the coach to the skier , that's why I came up with a price that I felt like help balance out that loss. But to help that as well I do a follow up phone call with you so you are crystal clear and satisfied with the money you just spent and you feel good in your mind that you have confidence to work on those things next time you go out and ski . This is a brand avenue for me that I'm very excited about will give all of my customers 110% focus just like I do when I'm coaching in the boat. Hope this helps some guys. Thanks - CP
  19. Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know about my new venture into video coaching. I've had the opportunity to do a lot of clinics with most of you in person and I hope video coaching proves to be another faucet that I can help you become a better skier. To reserve your spot shoot me an email at cparrish43@msn.com
  20. @GOODESkier just make sure your
  21. @6balls great question . Try this and It will 100% def help , it looks like your super early and not sure what to do with it. 2 parts here , first leaving the wakes make sure you keep taking everything out , esp with this ski cause you're creating more space , but if you are over-turning over loading you're probably rushing to the handle to quick with your freehand , be patient let it finish. Hope that helps , if that doesn't , might need a slight fin adjustment
