  1. 12 year old male, 100 lbs. skiing in the course at 26.7 15 off, getting 2-3 balls no gates. I'm looking to spend up to $500 for a slalom ski that will last him at least 2 seasons starting next summer. I'm figuring he'll go into the season at 120 lbs. He is 5'5", great athlete and has made huge strides in his 1st season (didn't start until August!) ever being on a slalom ski. I will go new or ever-so-slightly used. He will be skiing open-toe rear. He will get into 32mph by end of next season, probably cleaning his 15 off pass. I appreciate any suggestions.
  2. I was thinking the simple solution (at the risk of compadre ridicule) would be a spray leg.
  3. I moved to a Nano One with Reflex White Cuff RFF and the "R" style rear. My skiing has never been better, but unfortunately I hit a roller going around 3 (34mph, 22off), my ski left the water, and when it rejoined I went one way, the ski went the other, I came out of the ski, and I ended up with an inside ankle fracture right foot (front). My question is this... Could I have had the boot not buckled tight enough? I'm 160 lbs., with the binding set at 4. If I was buckled in tighter, I'm thinking my leg wouldn't have torqued the ankle as much as it did prior to release. Another thing I've noticed is that several times when coming off the ski, the heel of my front foot has smashed my shin, either badly bruising and/or actually cutting my shin. Anyone else experience that? All feedback welcome (other than the obvious comments like "try to stop wiping out.")
  4. '06 Malibu LX DBW w/ Zbox. It was running PERFECTLY until yesterday. Now, inexplicably, at only 36mph the boat surges as soon as SG engages. I've done a system reset, remapped, recalibrated...nothing is correcting the problem. Anyone else running into this problem?
  5. I'm running a 2006 DBW Malibu Response LX. I had Perfect Pass Digital Pro from the beginning. Last summer the control head needed to be replaced. My son is a coach and competitor, and was skiing exclusively Zero Off. I upgraded to Stargazer with the ZBox option. I calibrated the speed-rpm, mapped the course, plugged in a crew weight of 160, and haven't touched it since. It is timing PERFECT every time. Engages quickly without much throttle finesse. I am pulling skiers weighing from 120 to 210 without any setting changes. My son said he actually likes our Response better than the Nautique 200's since the wake seems a bit "softer". He felt no difference in the pull at C2 behind either boats.
