  1. Maybe the lower height of the transom above the platform is creating an illusion of it being high ?
  2. Definitely a good thing for learning, at a comp, in practice, anytime. Not good a as a must-have requirement to run a comp. I am involved in training our drivers & use it wherever possible. The setup can be just a Handycam on 6-inch tripod to review later on awkward sites. When I pay my entry, I expect a driver to be competent at my level of skiing. If a driver needs to practise, I'm happy to ski for them, but don't like to pay for them to use me as a punching bag.
  3. We have been using a 6.0L CarbonPro to tow lots of comps for more than a year now. Love the way it drives & skies. It has approx. 280 hours & has never missed a beat. At our first comp of the season we had countless PB's (including my own after just a handful of post-winter sets) & u10 boy exceeding Australian record. If I was in a position to buy, I would have a CarbonPro in a heartbeat.
  4. If getting a rental car, be aware of the "or similar" clause. When we travelled to the Australian Nationals this year, after pre-arranging a specific model we had checked to be suitable for 3 adults & our 6 month old, along with all the gear essential for infants & 2 lots of ski gear, we were handed the keys to a different make/model. The fold-down seat we specified as essential was only the rear armrest with a hole just big enough to get your hand through. Cost us $400+ to upgrade on-the-spot to larger model !
  5. @ozski my understanding was the 6 knot zone was in the timbered area north of Kirkleagh. Has it crept further into the main lake body ?
  6. we also use a concrete block suspended from the mainline between the anchor & pre-gate to maintain constant tension through changes in water levels.
  7. try the '+' setting. If you don't have Revision R, get it ! It may not be what you settle on, but it gives you more options. & don't over-think it when testing.
  8. @DUSkier‌ looks like we have found the ZO-type plugs locally, so I will cut the PP-plug off like @Jody_Seal‌ said & fit the new plug. The leftover tail might end up with the female plug, giving us an adaptor for any PP-users. Thanks everyone for your input !
  9. Thanks @Jody_Seal‌ could work for some of our guys. We also "borrow" boats regularly for some of our jump events, so ideally need to retain the plug-&-play ease of fitment for some.
  10. I am looking to buy some rope switches & Rope Switch Adapter Harnesses. Can anyone suggest a seller that I could purchase both pieces from, rather than the additional cost of 2 separate shipments from PP & ZO to Australia. Thanks
