  1. @Spuddy FYI, that 197 open bow will only fit kids and not sure I trust kids in such a shallow small bow and they will get wet and not on purpose!

As for Zero off that can be a long term project but most likely a 2008 engine will already to ready for it. Buy the boat and save some cash for a year or 2 and then add it.

  2. A 2008 can most likely be upgraded to Zero off for about the same cost as Perfectpass, that would give the 206 a big advantage and better resell long term. Both are well made boats. I owned a 197 and would say that the front bow is tiny and easy to take water on.
  3. I have a 06 Ski Nautique with the 9.20 Z-Box and ski behind a 2 / 200's and new Prostar's with Zero-off and ski the same behind them all. The latest version of Z-Box was a big improvement over the early versions. Locks in way quicker and hold speed way better.
  4. @smokevw That area looks amazing and has hosted ski tournaments in the last few years. Also, FM (https://fluidmotionsports.com/) is based on that lake and the owner is a die hard skier. My gut says, track this guy down and he will give you lots of info on getting ski help on your lake! At that ski club I have even seen a ski jump in the pics, most be some good skiers in your area. Best of Luck!
  5. After joining our local club years ago, I found the best way to learn was to hang at the club and ask the other members. The long time members were awesome on helping. I would suggest joining the club and then start hanging out and asking for help, everyone was a Newb at one time!
  6. @MamaCat Glad to hear that you are having fun tackling the sport! As for "women's" vs men's skis, the women's models are just mens skis with different graphics, sometimes maybe a little softer flex. If you prefer the unisex graphics, then don't worry about flex as you are strong from the sounds of it anyway.
  7. @brooks I think Radar should build and fill this void! a single model 50" trick ski in a basic construction for new trick skiers and bigger folks also. I would buy in a heartbeat, would be a fun extra tool in the boat to play with also. Target a $499 PP with construction like a Union level ski?? Once we get good, graduate to a Graviton? There is a market!
