The season is winding down in a lot of places which often means time for reflection. Whether you have a few events left or not this time of year is great for taking some time to look at what you’ve learned this summer and also realize what you’d still like to accomplish.
The Berkeley Water Ski Club is proud to announce a tribute to Henry Winkler and the 46th anniversary of the Jump the Shark (Happy Days Season 5, Episode 3, aired in 1977). Jump the Shark was one of the most famous water skiing scenes in the history of television! That episode made water skiing a very “cool” sport and did a lot to promote the sport of water skiing.
Waterski Pro Tour is excited to announce the introduction of Stats, a new platform that provides waterski fans with more in-depth data on their favorite skiers and their performances.

The 21st rendition of the event was just as show stopping as always! With the cancellation of Hilltop this year, the team had a long trip for just the Solo event and they decided to try make the most of it! Fun times with the crew and some seriously top notch skiing always make for a fun trip!

For the first 19 years of its existence the California Pro-Am, the longest running stop on the Tour, was a slalom tournament. Over the years the event showcased slalom skiing in all its forms: pro men’s, pro women’s, senior men’s (under the banner of the now defunct “Big Dawg” series) and even, for a year or two, a ‘Legends’ division at the interim speed of 35mph. Happily however, for last years 20th edition of the California Pro-Am the door was opened to a new discipline of waterskiing: jump. And thank goodness: this year the jumping had a strong argument for eclipsing the long-standing slalom event.
