Anyone know what the fins today are made of? looks to be 80,000ths thick. What type of aluminum stock is it and where can I get some stock? I would also be interested in the old style tee stock. Thanks.

Any number of differnt aluminum stocks alloys  . . . .075 to .095 depending on the factory and year. Some ahole made them from Carbon Fiber for a number of years but he lost too much money....

You will be shocked to hear this. But then, maybe not. My daughter lost two whole passes on her new ski, tried all types of adjustments with the stock fin to no avail. I had a friend build one out of an outline of an old fin Chuck Forrest used to ski with. Now, this bad boy is 7.247" long and 2.661" deep. She picked  two whole passes back and got a few at 28 off. However, bear in mind, she skis at 32mph and I am thinking that this works at 32mph and lower speeds but probably will not work at higher speeds and shorter lines.
