Baller lkb Posted September 19, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2009 How close together do you run your boots? In general what are the effects of spreading them apart? Or moving them closer together?
Chuck_Dickey
I run the RS-1's and when I wore Powershells, at 12.25" ankle to ankle, rear pivot max. Too wide and it hurt my rear knee. Can't really get much closer together. Size 9 LFF.
stone88
I'm LFF & have mine as close together as I can get them
swerveit
size 9/10 ish.. an inch between toe and heel, maybe a little over as they are hard shells and my toe doesn't go to the end.
Baller Roger Posted September 21, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 21, 2009 I use RS-1 bindings and moved my rear one hole back from where they were (closest they would go to the front) at the suggestion of Dave Miller. It improved my on-side turn and had no effect on my off-side turn (as predicted by Dave). It's mostly a personal preference thing though. Try them right up against one another and then spaced a bit and see which you like the best.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted September 21, 2009 Baller_ Share Posted September 21, 2009 I've got my RS-1's as close together as possible, they actually touch.
Baller lkb Posted September 22, 2009 Author Baller Share Posted September 22, 2009 I did an ankle to ankle check for the first time today. Im about 11.5 inches with size 10.5 feet. My shells are as small as they could be and still let my feet in them.
