Baller ski6jones Posted October 22, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 22, 2009 I'm interested in comments from people who have demo'd both the RS-1 and the Elite.I've riden the Elite and am interested to know how the RS-1 compares from someone who has ridden both.I hope to get a ride on the RS-1 this weekend. Baller thager Posted October 22, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 22, 2009 I am on an Elite now coming off the RS-1. I had trouble being consistent on the RS-1. Had to ski more technically correct on it. I would ski great on it one set and terrible the next. It is an extremely good ski, super fast with great turns if you stay countered and centered. Requires very little effort so you can ski longer on it. I chose the Elite as it seems more forgiving of my hack style and is more consistent for me. I get into 12M @ 34 on a good day. MS is on that RS-1 now and running into mid 39. You would have to pry it from his cold dead hands!
Administrators Horton Posted October 22, 2009 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2009 On side (Heel Side) on the RS-1 is freaking unreal but the Toe Side is touchy. The Elite is super balanced all the way around. Fin Set up on the Elite is the bummer. You have to hit it just right or do what Ward says. Old MS Accout
The RS1 is very easy on my 46 year old bones and joints. I had Tommy John surgery after 12 sets on the Elite. My post op recovery involved skiing on the RS1 because it is very easy to get the ski moving and stay moving.

Old MS Accout
Dawg can make the Elite Rock but it did not work for me. I am 175lbs and probably should have tried a 66. The 67 was to big.
