Baller ScarletArrow Posted July 19, 2010 Baller Share Posted July 19, 2010 If you were to take a frame by frame shot of a skier coming off the handle into the buoy all the way through the turn until the hook up...should the ratio for the amount of time ("frames") a skier is coming off the handle be the same as when the skier is coming back to the handle? Would you use the buoy as the midpoint?
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted July 19, 2010 Baller_ Share Posted July 19, 2010 Ideally the time to release and reconnect would be the same, but only the smoothest skiers manage that. Most of us will snatch the handle back in much too quickly. The goal should be to have the speed out and back in the same. I would not use the buoy as any sort of midpoint. If the skier is early, he will be fully reconnected at the buoy. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
