Baller Skihack Posted August 18, 2010 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2010 Looking for someone to answer me a question about a Goode slalom. I have a kid skiing on a 64" Goode 9500. She is 100 lbs and 5'3". I had the boots off the ski and noticed it was the same length as a old 65" Jobe. So, I put a tape measure along the top contour and bottom contour and got 65 1/4" inches long. Now, it seems to me that maybe this ski may be a bit too long for a 100 lb. skier. I do not know. Is the 64.25 Goode 9900 64.25 inches long or is it longer? Thanks.
Bud Man
I think I remember hearing that Goode measures a straight line from tip to tail and some other manufactures measure the curved length on the bottom, but not sure.
Baller Chef23 Posted August 18, 2010 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2010 Skimech how fast is the 100 pound skier skiing. If she is 30 mph or slower I think she will be okay. If she is going faster or into shortline it might be a little big. At a 100 pounds she fits into the 62" Goode but if she is skiing a below max speed I would think it would work fine.
