ski6
What is best way and best paint to use when painting, foam bout guide bouys?
walstib
Either Krylon or Rustoleum sells spray paint for plastic. The yellow works really well, as does the forest green for timing bouys. The yellow doesn't cover dark brown water lines with one coat, so you shouldn't wait until the bouys get too discolored, but it seems to hold up very well. Old MS Accout
Go to any of the crab fishing suppliers web sites and get Bouy Paint. Awesome stuff that will not fade.
Baller_ lpskier Posted January 31, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted January 31, 2011 On a related topic, one of our nearby tournament lakes (a really nice place) paints the turn balls. I don't know what they use for paint, but it is very abrasive and will wear a hole in your shin. It happened to me this June and I didn't finally heal until after the season was over in October. If it is green or yellow, paint is fine. If it is orange, replace the ball when it fades. That being said, I use Krylon on my 55s and it works great.
