Nick Sullivan
So, Yesterday I was thinking about how I have this bad habbit of locking my knees straight outside of the wakes. I was thinking about a way to force my self to keep my knee's bent and soft everywhere. I started thinking about putting some shims under each boot. Then I just saw this: https://www.buymaxtall.com/ on TV. What caught my attention was the "Men do you feel like you could use an extra 2 inches?" Anyway, what do you guys think, is this a bad idea to try and lift my heals up off the ski so I maintain a more stacked body position?
mrpreuss
. Knees bent is a result of countered body position and not bending your knees. It is a result and not an action I run between 1/2 to 1 inch rear heel lift to get my knees closer together. Knees closer together allows for better countered position, especially on the off side. . Baller_ Wish Posted December 30, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted December 30, 2011 Agree with above. But I do run shims under the heel of my hard-shells only because the boots were not designed to lay flat as they were formally rollerblade boots and the blade structure actually angled the heel slightly higher than the toe. From what I've seen, some hard-shell companies address this and some don't.
