Baller A_B Posted March 31, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 31, 2012 Cold weather today, so tackled the rudder repacking job. The new Gore-Tex packing directions say no lubricants needed, yet, most websites I have looked at say to put a light coating of grease on the rudder shaft. Should I just put grease on the lower part of the shaft where it goes through the bottom of the boat, but not up in the area where it will contact the Gore-Tex rope?
