Baller harddock Posted August 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted August 6, 2012 My son is a novice course skier. He skis on a Goode 9800 with a wrap front, toe rear. He thinks he might want to go to power shell5 bindings. Any thoughts? Is this gonna help or hurt him. Are they more dangerous? His ski has a power plate with 3m lock now. Baller Chef23 Posted August 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted August 6, 2012 @harddock I would put him in a Reflex front with a RTP. My son has been on that since he was running 24 mph and it has been great for him. If he really wants double boots I would put him in a Wiley rear. For me the benefit of the Reflex was that I could put use the same boot for his trick ski. The other option I have seen smaller kids use is the Fluid Motion E series and I have seen those in doubles on smaller kids. I guess I worry a little bit about the dual lock release in general and even more for small kids.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted August 6, 2012 Goode does not recommend using powershells for the Junior skiers like that. If he wants a hard shell, go with Reflex.
