Rope wrapped around my ski

I was very grateful for my interlock today. I crashed around the 5ball@38 and the rope wrapped completely around my ski and jerked it off. Tweaked my back a little from the jerk and destroyed the handle but it could have been a lot worse. I didn't even know what happened but we were videoing at the time. I'll try to get the video to post. Anybody ever had this happen?

Wrapped around totally? No. Skied over slack in the line yes. Which is still scary. I guess it resulted in skiing over a slack coiled piece of the rope? Can you post the video?

I'll have to see if I can get it. My friend was shooting for his business it is a pretty sweet video shot at like 100 frames per second from the shore. When it happened i thought my ski tip went through the handle. But it actually coiled around it.

I can't wait until I can get the footage from the film crew....I've never seen a rope wrap around the tip of a ski like that and I'll post the pic of the rope in a few minutes. Just glad my ski partner isn't broken after that freak crash.

Here is the damage to the handle...I still can't believe we skied 3 more sets on it without noticing the giant cut in it.
