Baller escmanaze Posted September 4, 2012 Baller Report Posted September 4, 2012 Hi Everybody, I need a little help while boat shopping. I was looking at a Response LX today and got to looking under it and saw that the middle fin kind of pokes out to the right. So here are my insanely naive questions. They're all supposed to be straight down right? Is this an expensive fix? Thanks for any input. I would also love to hear anything that any of you might say on other things I should look for. Scott
Baller ntx Posted September 5, 2012 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2012 Most likely got bent going on or off the trailer. About 100.00 installed +/-
Baller A_B Posted September 5, 2012 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2012 I have seen someone take a sledge hammer to one to get it in line. Not sure a dealer wouldn't do that once you left the parking lot.... I might use a block of wood against the skeg and hit the wood with the sledgehammer, just to be safe :)
Baller thager Posted September 5, 2012 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2012 If the boat tracks straight, who cares!
Baller escmanaze Posted September 5, 2012 Author Baller Report Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks tons guys. I really appreciate the input. I'll keep you updated on how it goes.
Baller Alberto Soares Posted September 5, 2012 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2012 I straighten mine using a 15lb piece of wood, it´s fine now.
