How to describe skiing to someone who is new to skiing

Last night my cousin messaged me on FB. I only met her a month ago and she found out that I was a good skiier. She goes out 6 or 7 times a year for fun. She said that she wanted me to look at some of her pics and tell her how to help her with her cuts mainly. After talking for a while I was surprised at the amount that she knew. She was talking about dipping her shoulder, getting her hips behind her, and it ends up with her "sitting in a chair". I did my best to describe keeping your handle low while passing the wakes, touch your arms to your vest, do not look down at the water while turning. So basically my question is how do I explain these things in terms that someone who skis recrationally would understand?
