I have a 2005 LXi and would like to convert to Zero Off if possible. What costs and parts were involved? The price of new boats keeps going up and I really like my '05. Thanks! Baller baja Posted September 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 19, 2013 I believe the determining factor is Throttle by Wire and a compatible ECM interface, which I don't think you have. I upgraded my 2007 Malibu Response LXi a few months back and it required a new Engine Control Modual (about $900) in addition to the ZO. I remember reading that the 2007 was as far back as the RLXi could be converted. Any Malibu Dealer should know the answer concerning your specific boat.
