Baller behindpropellers Posted September 20, 2013 Baller Posted September 20, 2013 Looking for some surgical tube fittings. Specifically something I can use to quickly adjust the length of the surgical tube from the subs. I'm not looking for hooks..... more for easy adjustment of the surgical tubing. Anybody have anything they use?
Baller chris_logan Posted September 20, 2013 Baller Posted September 20, 2013 Some people use plastic chain between the surgical tubing and the buoy. This way you can use a fixed amount of surgical tubing and a small carabiner to attach the buoy to the chain.
Baller behindpropellers Posted September 20, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 20, 2013 Chris, Thanks, I have never thought of that, great idea. Tim
Baller chris_logan Posted September 20, 2013 Baller Posted September 20, 2013 @behindpropellers Depending on how much time you put into it, you could also do it the other way around, with the surgical tubing going from buoy to carabiner, carabiner to chain, chain to sub-buoy. It's actually more efficient that way if you are at a lake where you have to pull buoys a lot (for jump).
Baller_ The_MS Posted September 20, 2013 Baller_ Posted September 20, 2013 We use these. Never have to get in the water.
Baller MrB Posted September 20, 2013 Baller Posted September 20, 2013 Stay away from buoy/carabiner to chain. Not very friendly to your fin. My friends and I skied at a private lake, that we were not familiar with their course, and 4 of us drove away with kicks in our fins. We all had to replace them. On our public lake course we use the large hooks (from www.skiertoskier.com) zip tied to surgical tubing zip tied to sub buoy then lanyard to PVC tubing.
Baller behindpropellers Posted September 20, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 20, 2013 @MS Where do you get those from?
