Baller MattP Posted September 23, 2013 Baller Posted September 23, 2013 A big thank you to @Jody_Seal and Stephen Seal for bringing the Masters slalom 200 6L up for the Auburn College tournament this weekend. Thanks @Chris_Logan @WebbDawg99 @mmosley899, alumni and the officials crew for spending yet another weekend helping out us college kids. Also Jeff Wiswall for opening up his lake and home for us to ski at and eat dinner on Saturday night and watch some Auburn and Alabama football. We were camping and there were torrential downpours all day Saturday but this did not keep us from getting through the event or enjoying ourselves.
Baller chris_logan Posted September 23, 2013 Baller Posted September 23, 2013 The tournament was one of the best collegiate tournaments we have had in a while. I think the rain really added more of a fun factor to the tournament. Overall, this tournament seemed to provide a boost to everyone involved. These tournaments are where the real future of our sport lies, and I hope more ballers get involved with helping out with these events...it's worth every minute and penny.
Baller MattP Posted September 23, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 23, 2013 Yes that is me getting ready to trick. Stood up my normal run despite the rain.. I almost ate it on my side slide...
Baller footloose42 Posted September 23, 2013 Baller Posted September 23, 2013 I even got a PB in the pouring rain!
Baller MattP Posted September 23, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 23, 2013 @footloose42 congrats. I hope you got your boat crew a 6pack. Who do you ski for? I was only 14.5 buoys off a PB..
Baller webbdawg99 Posted September 24, 2013 Baller Posted September 24, 2013 Great weekend despite the rain. It was great to see so many collegiate skiers out enjoying the weekend. Best of luck to all the teams at Regionals next weekend!
Baller chris_logan Posted September 24, 2013 Baller Posted September 24, 2013 @CU_SKI also brought a good group down and seemed to enjoy themselves. I'm always happy when there is a good turnout at collegiate tourneys
Baller footloose42 Posted September 25, 2013 Baller Posted September 25, 2013 @MattP, it's just a little trade school on North Avenue. You've probably never heard of it.
Baller MattP Posted September 25, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 25, 2013 @footloose42 ITT Tech? EVERYONE that awkward moment when you find out a ski partners handle on BOS.... woops
Baller MattP Posted September 25, 2013 Author Baller Posted September 25, 2013 @footloose42 you either owe @chris_logan, @webbdawg99 or @mmosley899 a 6 pack for that PB.
Baller chris_logan Posted September 25, 2013 Baller Posted September 25, 2013 @footloose42 I think you know how to find me and what kind of 6 pack I prefer. There are your normal tournament drivers, and then there are drivers like me who you WANT to ski behind....haha (especially when it's my home site)
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted September 25, 2013 Baller_ Posted September 25, 2013 @MattP Hymmmm!!! ? six pack? What about the dude who brought the boat?? :) I got some great rest last weekend during the rain!! Thank You Jeff! I needed it! Divorce on the 5th anyone?
Baller webbdawg99 Posted September 26, 2013 Baller Posted September 26, 2013 @Jody_Seal I'm going to try and make it to divorce. You bringing that sweet boat with you? By the way, I love the mod you made to the throttle.....much more comfortable and easy to operate
Baller chris_logan Posted September 26, 2013 Baller Posted September 26, 2013 I agree with @webbdawg99, throttle ball swap was a very nice modification...though in '13 Nautique fashion, it is still a little sticky. The ball just makes it much easier/faster to get used to.
