Baller GAJ0004 Posted November 25, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2013 Two sprained ankles at the same time, got yanked out of double high wrap O'Brien Advantage bindings going through the entrance gate. I was back on the water in two weeks. That was a long time ago..
Baller OKSkier Posted November 25, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2013 I heard that HO is not doing the EXO's anymore. Wondering if they are continuing with that style and maybe coming out with an improved version Does anyone know?

Baller mmosley899 Posted November 26, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 26, 2013 Question...what difference does the small increase in weight of the binding make in the performance of the ski? Would a 5lb drop in your body weight have the same affect as lighter bindings? Baller OKSkier Posted November 26, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 26, 2013 That is an awesome question
Baller MattP Posted November 26, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 26, 2013 @mmosley899 I think a 5lb drop in body weight would have a much greater impact on a skier than the binding weight. Skier agility can by far make up for equipment.

Baller 6balls Posted November 26, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 26, 2013 After 2 of the last 3 seasons roasting ankles (probably cuz I ski shorter and thus graze more balls), I'm open to new binding options but need to keep the toe loop as part of it. mrpreuss
All weight matters. The ski and bindings travel a longer path than the body, so 5 more pounds on the ski will have a greater impact on performance than additional body weight. jefflyman
Is it just me that seems HO'S new binding is a copy of the Radar Strada and Vectors? Even the lousy lace locks are the same! If true I guess its a compliment to Radar for building a great product. I love my Vectors...... with Wake board style lace locks though. Never a bad injury skiing but should stay off the volleyball court..... two blown Patella's in one spike bindings by Nike!
scotty_alz
lis-franc fracture on my right front foot from trick skiing caught an edge on a flip now if i go out the front hard i feel it double stradas and i tighten them i hate loose bindings i like the control from me feet
Baller hammerski Posted November 28, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 28, 2013 When I broke my right(rff) ankle, both feet were in. Front heel lifted 1-2 inches and the rubber locked on to my heel, not releasing. The sideways shearing impact blew the end of my tibia off, tore Achilles and lateral tendon. I'm pretty sure if I had Vaseline in the heels, both would have just released. I agree with jipster, safety trumps everything now. 2 years was bs!
