Baller cragginshred Posted October 1, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2013 I am making great progress finally. Skiing with consistent coaching and getting out 2-3x a week has allowed me to start bumping the boat speed to the 34mph mark (-15). I notice as the boat gets faster my 2012 Strada likes to ride up on top the water better but as I come in to the buoy balanced I tend to finish on my rear foot. I am not doing the dreaded 'wheelie' like I used to but still it could be much better. Ideas to work on this?
Baller_ Wish Posted October 1, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted October 1, 2013 Think ankles flexed/soft through the turn to the hook up. Keeping it simple helps. My 2cents. But this could be a symptom of something else. Video would help.

Baller cragginshred Posted October 1, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted October 1, 2013 The last video I have is from over a month a go and way too much has changed since then. Really eager to capture some faster speeds (with decent form) on video. Coming!

Baller cragginshred Posted October 6, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted October 6, 2013 @Wish I have been thinking 'soft ankles' which = knees bent and load front foot which helps. however, I finish the turn on the rear as you can see here.
Baller ForrestGump Posted October 6, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2013 It's not that you finish the turn on your back foot. It's that your back leg is still bent and your chest is pointed below the horizon instead of above the horizon, leaving you in a squatted position. Point your chest at the tree tops and think about making yourself 4 inches taller.
Baller SBFL Posted October 6, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2013 Your on side looks way better than your offside. Try flexing your gluts and engaging your core, this should bring your hips forward and put you in a stronger stance so you can handel more load, speed and shorter ligne lengths. There's also thees short vids, they really helped me http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EonxoGtl3hk
