Don't know how many of you Ballers have CPR/AED training, but I was trained last week. Certified for the next 2 years. This is the second time around I have done this. I'm lucky enough that it is done through work. You never know when this training will be needed - AND - I'm prepared if something ever came up. It may not be the most advanced training, but it will still "buy time." Take it if it is offered!

First certified in college class back in 1980, and recertify as first responder at the office. Just had CPR/AED along with blood borne pathogens and first aid training last Wednesday. We have AED's in the office and plant locations, which is key to increasing survival chances.

I have been a firefighter for 22 years and have witnessed first hand that proper use of an AED and effective CPR will make a huge difference in surviving a cardiac emergency.

@AB - they are all (as far as I know) equipped with an internal battery that has a pre-determined replace by date on it. Self sufficient devices. With instructions on operating them when the AED is opened.

I have only used the training ones, so maybe a good thing might be to get the real one off the wall and check it out. I was guessing it was charging on AC or something. The lake is where I probably exert myself more than any where, and wonder if it makes sense to have one handy, I ain't getting any younger!
